June 8, 2015, Houston, TX – L&B Italian Tours, LLC began to operate a private, guided tour business in Italy that we hoped would appeal to travelers from all over the world, who want to visit the biggest attractions and experience the true sights, sounds, and tastes of one of the most famous countries in Europe. Two years later we are busy building itineraries for travelers that have contacted us not only from the U.S., which was our target market but also from Mexico, India, China to name a few.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building the business has had its share of stress. While we don’t offer airfare packages, some of our customers through no fault of theirs have their flights delayed, or lost luggage or have forgotten to let their cell phone provider know they are in Italy and this can cause us some sleepless nights as we work to accommodate our customers while they are in-country.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
L&B Italian Tours is a family owned and operated company and the opportunity for me to join the family’s business after my 34 years of service in the Parks and Recreation industry is simply amazing and rewarding.
Growing up, the heart and soul of my family, were my grandparents who emigrated from Caserta, Italy, and arrived at Ellis Island in 1907. They brought with them the traditions and customs their family had practiced for decades. Their stories, traditions, and recipes were shared each Sunday at our family dinners as we gathered around my grandparent’s dinner table.
It was their deep passion for Italy; the food, the culture, and the importance of family that ultimately lead to the birth of L&B Italian Tours. I have the opportunity to help our clients explore and experience Italy through our tours. I am very proud of our company and I know my grandparents would be very proud of us too. And as for family, L&B are the initials of my two nephews; Lance and Brett in our company called L&B Italian Tours. My two nephews now have opened up their own business called Delivery Italiano. The name Italy conjures up so many different travel images from art, food, family, wine, Mediterranean islands, ancient ruins, restaurants and outdoor cafes in Rome, museums in Florence, picture-perfect-postcard Tuscan countrysides, and singing gondoliers and gondolas on the Grand Canal in Venice; everyone has their own vision of Italy.
