Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Estrada.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started working as a chiropractor in the Houston area about 2.5 years ago. However, being a chiropractor was not always my passion. I spent most of my years in college researching different professions to find my future career and went through a few changes of my major. I actually started my undergraduate career majoring in computer engineering. I switched out of that major to pursue a degree towards working in our healthcare system. That was also a journey of changing my mind frequently within itself. It wasn’t until I was able to have an opportunity of an internship at a chiropractic clinic that I realized I may have found my future career.
I continued my internship and was treated by the chiropractor I worked for, and that helped finalize my decision that I wanted to be a chiropractor for the rest of my life. I went on to graduate from New York Chiropractic College and moved down to Houston to work for a medical provider group called Airrosti. Over the 2.5 years of working for the company, I have been able to grow my business and clientele through the reputation and results I have achieved as a clinician as well as being able to share my knowledge through social media platforms to reach audiences all across the globe. I have been very fortunate and blessed to have all of these opportunities that I will plan to capitalize on so I can positively impact the lives of those all around me.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey to get to where I am today was filled with ups and downs, but they were all necessary to keep me focused on my goals and dreams. Most of my journey involved me switching from one career goal to another. I could never real make up my mind. I switched my undergraduate major three times. I didn’t make up my mind until the last year of my undergraduate career, which was cutting close to graduation time. Even throughout Chiropractic College, finding out where and how I wanted to begin my Chiropractic career wasn’t smooth sailing until the last ~ six months of Chiropractic College where I set my eyes on working for Airrosti. However, I am very blessed it happened this way because I wouldn’t pass up on these opportunities for the world.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I work as one of the providers (chiropractors) for a nationwide medical provider group called Airrosti. We specialize in resolving musculoskeletal injuries through a combined method of manual therapy and physical therapy. Our goal as company is to resolve these injuries as quickly and efficiently as possible while teaching the patients how to keep themselves from re-injuring these same areas. I am most proud of the fact I am not the only one that achieves the same great success in my area of expertise. There are almost 300 providers in the nation that work for Airrosti, and we all share the same goals and knowledge in resolving musculoskeletal injuries in the same fashion. What sets myself (along with Airrosti as a whole) apart from others is the fact that we all have collectively found a method that resolves musculoskeletal injuries in an average of 3-4 treatment visits, which is very uncommon in the department of conservative care.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
When I was 12 years ago, my brother asked me to play the keyboard for his band’s very first live concert, which was actually right in our garage for the whole neighborhood. Although I only played one song, that experience was the start of my passion for music. Ever since then, I continued to learn the guitar to fill in as a rhythm guitarist and bassist for my brother’s band. We continued to perform many concerts throughout the east coast all throughout middle school and high school. I continued through my undergraduate and graduate school years performing more solo acts. To this day, I continue to write and record my own music but hope to get back on stage to perform in front of an audience again.
