Meet Nikki Waddell of Touché’ Body Image in Westchase

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki Waddell.

Nikki, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I decided to step out on faith and start my own business. All of my life, I saw my parents hold down a 9 to 5 and then come home to work at their own businesses. After 40 plus years of working white-collar jobs they both retired to run their businesses full time. I thought, why wait get up and do it now and here we are. I found my passion, put a plan together and put that plan into action.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
This was not an easy task. Although I had a plan, I didn’t have a plan. I have been locked out, had some equipment picked up and my phone and internet disconnected but I never lost hope. I had to take a step back, breathe and regroup. I hired a consultant that helped me with some of the basics, revamped my studio and brought a Medical Director on board. Live and you will certainly learn.

Touché’ Body Image, LLC – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are a weight loss and wellness medspa. We equip you with the tools to get your sexy back at any age but our focus is men and women 40 & up. We chose the age group because once you begin approaching your forties, your metabolism slows down and you may not be as active as you once were which is the cause of weight gain. This is what sets us apart from others in this industry. In January 2020 we will be launching a program geared specifically towards those in the 40 + club.

As a company, We are most proud of the reputation that we have established. We are known for our integrity and that can make or break a company. We aren’t perfect but we certainly strive to be just that.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is helping others while doing what you love. If I can just help one person, I have won. Often times, I believe that successful people forget that they too one needed help reaching their success. The fact that someone came to me for advice says that what I am doing or have done has made them want to mimic that in starting their own business. In my opinion, this is true success.
