Today we’d like to introduce you to Christin Rose.
Christin, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m a photographer based in Austin. About four years ago, I was going about my career, loving it really but was realizing I needed to do more, I needed to really create my voice and stand for something… that’s when I started a photo project that would change my life forever. I started ‘She Plays We Win’ which is a project that celebrates the confidence of young girls in athletics to contribute positive images in our society and serve as a reminder to girls that they can do anything and confidence is so cool! Sports had a huge impact on me as a kid and I really wanted to explore how important athletics is to girls growing up to be awesome women.
I jumped headfirst into this project and haven’t really looked up since. It’s become my heart and all of my photography now carries a theme of female confidence and strong self-esteem. I believe that we need to see more and more of this in the media today starting with young girls. The project leads to a partnership with Under Armour + separately a scholarship program for girls to pursue sports.
“I believe confidence is the most beautiful thing a young person can have.” This drives my photography and is my mission to show girls stories.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Christin Rose Photo – what should we know?
I’m excited to say that I have a book coming out this year for the project, she plays we win! It will be out later this year and I hope will inspire girls all over. My photo work is all about youth, female empowerment and positivity.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Just going for it! Having the guts to say, I can do this and then committing to it! None of this what have happened to my career if I didn’t believe in myself and follow through!
