Today we’d like to introduce you to Tinh Nguyen.
Tinh, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Painting Professionals of Katy was formed in 2009 providing commercial and residential painting, I never knew much of painting but learned everything I needed to know to start my business venture and honestly, this is something I wanted to do for several years and was finally blessed to do so but wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t from my biggest support which is my wife Joanna Lopez, She was so inspiring and supported that she created me business cards and flyers and helped me market my business which within a week I landed five homes to paint. At that time, the customers were so amazed by my work that they referred me to friends and realtors. In 2017 I was so blessed and had the honor of working with 3 of Houston biggest Stars and World Series champions Jose Altuve of the Houston Astros, till this day I would love to thank these three humbled men for giving me the opportunity on allowing me to take part in their home paintings.
Friends and Customers would always ask me why did I start a painting business?? As a child, I was so inspired by colors, art, and the lifestyle of different paintings and styles, from elementary to high school I was always enrolled into Art class for the simple reasons I always wanted to be around colors, it just brings me so much energy when I would start creating a freestyle of art. I knew this was my talent and skills to later be successful in what I do now.
As of today Painting professionals of Katy has grown and working Keller Williams, Realm, doing a few commercial jobs and working with big investors.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In this Obstacle it has been a up and down roller coaster, from September to late January it starts to slow down for most of us contractors, But if your a hustler and hungry for the money you have to get out there and do what it takes to maintain your business but most of all your family.

So Painting Professional of Katy is a Interior and Exterior professional painting business, we specialize giving customers a fresh new look to their homes from accent walls, coordinating colors, interior and exterior painting and remodeling of homes, Painting Professional of Katy has been in business for 11 years and still growing. The business itself is very well known for professionalism, very skilled, affordable, and honest. As a business owner, I will say I am very proud that we have never gave up on what we believe in and where we stand, although we have rough days, weeks, or months we happen to still pull through… What sets me apart from others, and a lot of friends, clients will see no matter if I work with celebrities at the end of the day I am always going to be who I am humbled, kind, and always understanding.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Being who you are as a business owner should never change the attitude of who you are, you should never act like you are better than one another when people see you show how humbled you are the respect and the loyalty will always honor you to come back for more work.
