Meet Trailblazer Vanessa “Oma” Nzeh

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa “Oma” Nzeh.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Vanessa “Oma”. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Some time during my college career, I would say 2008, I discovered blogging as a hobby. This was back in the good old days of Tumblr. I initially used blogging as a fun and creative outlet to express myself, but I soon discovered people were actually reading my blog and finding value in what I had to say. This encouraged me to not only create for myself but to create for others.

I have since blogged under many other domains that will forever remain nameless lol, but in 2017 my brand, story and message finally evolved to what is now known as FearlesslyOma.com.

Fearlessly Oma is a lifestyle blog and brand where I share my day to day life experiences as a doctor wife/mom and my journey through my career in medicine. As someone who naturally loves sharing with others, it was only right that I channel my love of creating into a unique opportunity to provide impact through storytelling while creating a safe space for others to learn and share as well. My goal at Fearlessly Oma is to inspire women to intentionally choose to live more fearlessly so they can ultimately live fully in the areas of their lives that matter to them the most.

Has it been a smooth road?
I would say the biggest struggles along the path of creating your own brand, or anything in life, are your own self-doubts. The things our imagination is capable of manufacturing are so great but unfortunately are not always positive. We have to remember we are greater than our manufactured self-doubts and success is always on the other side of them. I encourage other women on their own journeys to success to not forget the importance of establishing a strong tribe. We need great friends and mentors (Mentorship is major key!) around us to keep us encouraged and always progressing towards our overall goals.

We’d love to hear more about Fearlessly Oma.
By day I am a physician. I trained in the Combined Speciality of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. That means I completed two three-year residency programs in the span of four years and I am able to diagnose and treat kids and adults. I currently work as a hospitalist which means I only see patients when they have been admitted to the hospital.

By night I am the CEO and Creator of FearlesslyOma.com. I turned my hobby of blogging and passion for impact through storytelling, into a vehicle to inspire women to intentionally choose to live more fearlessly so they can ultimately live fully in the areas of their lives that matter to them the most.
