Meet Eric Duron

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Duron.

Eric, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Ever since I was young, I had the dream many kids have had of becoming a YouTuber. I enjoyed watching people get to live the lives they want while getting the freedom to create whatever content they want. Once I was midway through my senior year of high school in 2019, I decided to start my YouTube channel officially. Since then, I’ve nearly grown to 3,000 subscribers with the help of TikTok. I had no idea that TikTok would have an impact like this on my life. Doing YouTube and TikTok has opened many opportunities for me that I am extremely grateful for. As of right now, I have gained 45 thousand plus followers on TikTok (@eric_duon) since September of 2019. Not only have I grown my account that much, but I created a Texas group account for smaller TikTok accounts such as mine for people from all around Texas. Since early January of 2020, we have grown the account to 41 thousand plus followers. Besides doing my own YouTube and TikTok, I have also join MCP Network run by Malcolm Carter to work on short films. I Starr in an episode of MCP’s Web series Off The Grid: Eradicated. I played the role of “Nixon Knight,” who travels back in time to erase a piece of the past to prevent war in the present.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
So far, I haven’t had many obstacles other than trying to grow and make a name for myself. My goal is to leave my mark in the world and help my community.

Please tell us about your business.
With YouTube, I try to go out and film my life and experiences. Recently the content I’ve been creating is more public interactions and harmless public pranks. My dream is to be known for making funny content and making people laugh. As of now, I’m known as the “CEO” of The Official Texas Chat (@officialtexaschat) on TikTok. Besides the growth of my social media accounts, what makes me the proudest is how my “group chat” and I have grown our group account on TikTok to be as I know the second most followed Texas group account. Little by little, this account is helping us make our mark in Texas. What sets us apart from others is that we aren’t in it for the “fame” or “clout” but we do it for fun. This group has brought people from literally all over Texas to build a bond and create a family of Texans.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
The plan for the future is to continue growing and leaving my mark in the community. I want to use any opportunities I can get to help people.
