Today we’d like to introduce you to Minh Nguyen.
Minh, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
After joining the nonprofit and corporate world, I had an opportunity to own and operate a small café. My dream was to always run something where I can call my own and add my own touches. After partnering with the original owners for a year, I took what they taught me and made it into my own.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There have been smooth periods but everyday has been a learning experience. Primarily, within myself and my capabilities. I’ve gone through the financial crisis in 2008, 2015 oil crisis, 2020 pandemic, back to back hurricanes/tropical storms and just the daily struggles of running a restaurant.
Tell us more about the business.
We are a Vietnamese café focusing on healthy fresh foods and spinning variations whenever possible. I’m proud to be a part of the community that values ethnic cuisine and the service we provide. We strive for fresh healthy ingredients and cooking methods while adding excellent service for a fast casual dining experience.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I’ve been lucky to be surrounded by loved ones and friends who have supported me in my venture brought the good and bad years. I’ve developed many friendships, past and present from Café TH and cherish the moments by living everyday as if it’s my last. My staff has been solid and I wouldn’t be anywhere as successful without them right alongside of me.
