Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Bass.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Eric. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Yes, technology and gadgets was my first love from an early age. So when I was in high school, I got my first camera phone. I had no idea. It would potentially set my path to be a photographer. I understood compositions and lighting naturally, so I would always be designated to take the photos when out with friends, etc. But I never took the step forward to actually make a business of it. Until, me and my now fiance started our family and she motivated me to get my first camera in 2015, which was a (Panasonic g7). So that I can take growing moments of our family instead of using my iPhone at the time. And from there I never looked back. And started my media company, “Ghost Vision Media.”
Has it been a smooth road?
To be quite honest, I’ve truly been blessed on this part of my journey. If I had to pick an obstacle, it would be time management with work and family. It can be difficult at times with the long days and nights shooting and editing portraits and video while maintaining a full-time job. But the blessing I speak of comes from the overwhelming support of my fiance and kids. They bring me the energy I need. It is also a pleasure to see my clients happy. That makes working those long hours worth it to see the joy they get from my photos.
We’d love to hear more about Ghost Vision Media.
G.V Media specializes in Event Photography, Photoshoots, and Video. We are known for our quality of work and customer service. We pride ourselves with customer care and service because, without them, there’s no existence of us. Speaking for myself, my proudest moments are when we get that repeated client, and you build that trust and a lifelong friendship with them that’s beyond the lens. What sets us apart would be our originality. We mold ourselves to make everlasting work, and some trends tend to diminish that over time, and we steer away from that (unless specifically called for by clients).
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In 5-10 years, I see this industry even more advanced than today, just as today is versus when I started in 2015. I see the cameras and gear getting more and more affordable, technology being more user friendly, and the market getting bigger. The great thing about our industry is, No matter how far advanced technology goes, we will always have the essence and the art of where photography started, and that’s with the person behind the lens. You can produce great work with a simple setup or beefy/Over the top setups. The versatility will always be there. It’s all in the artist.
