Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Little.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Emily. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
For as long as I can remember, I have always loved animals. I remember when I was little, bringing home dogs and cats from God knows where, in hopes we could keep them. It was only a few years later I began volunteering with local Houston rescues. As an adult I pursued another love, teaching elementary school. After seven years of teaching public school in Houston, I made the tough decision to leave and follow my dreams of owning my own business, as well as working with animal’s full time. This is where Puptown Girl was born! I am currently a loving mom to four of my own dogs, as well as an avid foster and volunteer with local Houston rescues. Through that experience, I am comfortable with dogs of all shapes and sizes, as well as breeds and temperaments.
Has it been a smooth road?
After I left teaching, I wasn’t exactly sure where life would take me next. After inspiration from a friend, I decided to start Puptown Girl. Things were off to a great beginning until COVID19. During this time, most people were not traveling, or in need of someone to walk their dog while they’re at work. This was, as has been, a huge setback and scary time for my business.

We are Houston’s poshest dog walking and pet services company in the Southwest Houston Area. We do everything from dog boarding, to dog walking, to pet transport. We are fully insured, and have nearly 15 years of experience will dog of all shapes and sizes. We vow to treat your pet as if they were our own.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I would love to expand from just the Southwest Houston area, including owning my own dog boarding facility one day.
