Today we’d like to introduce you to Jillian Larkin.
Jillian, before we jump into specific questions about the company, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Ten years ago, my family and I founded V J Trucking & Enterprises… I was sooo scared because I was pregnant with my son and I quit working at Wells Fargo to give this business 100% of my time. I was also a sophomore in college and its was” a lot”! Fast forward to seven years later…. I bought everyone out and I’m 100% owner and changed the name to: Lane2Lane Transportation, LLC. Now I am rebranding and will be hiring for various positions soon! Throughout these ten years we have completely funded our business independently.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. None of us had the proper education about investment/business and we had bad credit! Our road was far from smooth, but what we possessed the most was consistency, persistence, dedication and ambition! We started this business with a $10,000 investment. Throughout this time, we experienced maintenance issues, employment issues, and many other unforeseen challenges.

Our company started off as a logging/clearing company, these skills were passed down from my father’s father and grandfathers. After hauling logs and clearing land for years the risk became too expensive and we had to transition to tanks and van trailers. Overall, we are a logistics company that haul agriculture and chemical products. Our integrity and longevity set us apart from others!
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success by the amount of discipline, ambition, consistency and persistency someone puts towards their goals!
