Meet Shanell Bradley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shanell Bradley.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My blog began as a passion project, honestly. I wanted to start a blog in 2012 but was too afraid to be vulnerable and put myself out there. I knew I had a testimony that I was supposed to be sharing but I was so ashamed and afraid of my past and how people would receive me.  So, I sat on my story and stayed silent for a really long time. Eventually, God got tired of me playing myself and my purpose and pushed me to go ahead and start the journey. My blog, Love, Nell B., was born in 2019 and has been growing ever since! Birthed from a place of transitioning from self-hate to self-love, I invite my audience into my world and to join me on my journey of ups and downs on learning how to live my best life. Now that I have gone through my own healing process, I feel empowered to reach back and uplift millennial women who share similar stories. I want the everyday woman to know that she is not alone.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Lol. No, this journey has been far from smooth. When I began blogging, I was in full-time graduate school, working, and holding down an internship. Through it all, my biggest struggle was imposter syndrome or not feeling good enough. For a lot of my journey, I was trying to find myself worthy enough to share my life with people. I felt like what I had to say wouldn’t matter enough to people for them to want to read it. But to my surprise,  I was wrong. It shocks me every time to know that someone wants to know me and my story more. When I receive a message that I inspired someone to do XYZ, I almost go into denial. Like, that wasn’t me that inspired you to do that but in reality, it was. So, I’m working on coming to terms with the idea that someone is inspired by my story so much that they want to live their best life, too! I just thank God, my friends, and my family for having my back and never letting me quit!

Tell us about your business – what should we know?
Though my business is fairly new, it is hitting the ground running! I offer Clarity Coaching Services. Basically, I empower millennial women in transition to amplify their mindsets, discover their gifts, and live a purpose-driven life! Sometimes, we’re afraid of achieving because we don’t have the clarity on how to achieve our goals. That’s where I come in. As someone who has felt cluttered and confused about how to reach my goals, I help the everyday millennial woman connect her visions/goals with clarity in order to get her moving towards the life she has envisioned for herself.

I am proud that I have taken this step towards becoming a womanpreneur. I told myself that I didn’t want to keep sitting on the gifts that God has blessed me with – the gifts that I should be using to help others. So, I am happy that my business mentor, friends, and family have pushed me to use my gifts outside of just our circle.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
One characteristic I feel is important to success is resiliency. Your ability to bounce back from diversity is essential to anything in life. Being a blogger and business owner, you have to be resilient. There will be a lot of things that will come your way that will tell you why you shouldn’t. But you have to look in the mirror and tell yourself why you SHOULD. When you hit an obstacle, it’s okay to have a day. Cry, be sad, and/or disappointed but then get back up and try it again! Adjust your attitude and take a chance on yourself again and again until you get it right.
