Rising Stars: Meet Fallion Billings of Montgomery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fallon Billings.

Hi Fallon, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a stay at home mom who got bored and wanted to do something more while still being flexible. I started a spray tan business right before covid and then we went through the treacherous lockdown. I started thinking and decided to create my own line of sunless tanner called “Selfie” It was my concept of a spray tan in a bottle since I couldn’t spray my clients. I was bored one day online shopping and came across some bracelets I wanted. Shocker they were on back order for eight weeks not to mention a bit pricey for they were. I decided to put my bored self to work and do some research online and found the material and made my own custom name bracelets. I posted a pic with them on and immediately had people asking me where I got them?! I offered to make a few for people with the little options I had bead wise. Long story short, it went from a couple of different materials to work with and only using my social media as advertising to still using my social media, creating e-commerce, and now doing events showcasing my work! I now make a broad range of not just name bracelets with cheap little beads but using quality gemstones and real gold and silver. I now make necklaces and other things as well! Not just bracelets. It’s been a really fun and interesting journey.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Trying to get materials delivered if at all because of the pandemic causing delays.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m pretty crafty and I’m always thinking of things to create and everything I make is handmade. Like I said that’s how it all started! I am proud that I was just a stay at home mom now I run small businesses while still at home. If you ask me if I can make a certain something and I’m not sure?! Im going to tell you yes and figure it out!

How do you think about happiness?
Making a small difference in someone else’s life. When a customer/client has given someone one of my jewelry pieces as a gift and they smile and or cry! That’s what makes it all worthwhile.
