Simply Beautee Allure started as a hobby, makeup application, to make extra money. I constantly kept getting fired from local jobs due to being a full-time student at Alabama State University majoring in business management with a vocal music minor. When I got fired from Wintzell’s on my off day, I decided I still needed money, but I knew then I had to work for myself. I started perfecting my craft. In 2014, I was hired on contract to do make up for Miss ASU & her Royal Court. That same year, I got certified as a lash technician.
In 2015, I branched out into selling mink strip lash & hair extensions. That same year, I dropped out of college. I started marketing my business more and gained a ton of clientele from word of mouth and social media.
In 2016, I moved to Georgia to expand my business. It was literally the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I was in a new state with no clientele, no family/ friends & no one knew my business. I travel back to Montgomery 1-2 weekends a month for a year before I got hired to work in a lash bar, A Lash Life, and 4.5 months later, I accepted the position at Genesis Hair Art as the brow specialist. It was definitely a learning experience working at both locations. I offered my first lash extensions group certification class (BeauTee Lash Academy).
In 2018, I had a steady clientele in Georgia, so I began to travel back to Montgomery once a month to service my regular clients. At the end of that year, I went through a depression due to a lot in my personal life. I need to get myself together mentally, so I moved back to Montgomery in 2019.
In 2020, I learned how to install weave & wigs, began offering virtual lash certification classes, relaunched my business, began a natural hair extension line (Royal BeauTee Extensions) and launched BeauTee Essentials (100% natural skincare & feminine care line). I’m currently in my own suite at 5941 Monticello Park Montgomery, Al 36117 Suite 107 doing an apprenticeship to become a licensed cosmetologist.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not always been a smooth road. Some of my hardest battles were because I wanted to go with my plan rather than God’s plan for me. There were serval times I saw signs but ignored them because of what I wanted for myself and fear. The beauty industry is heavily saturated, and if you’re not willing to settle, it can be harder to get the exposure needed to make it in my city. I’m human! So, at times it did get to me mentally.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I have so much in store for the future!! In 2021, I will be launching my lounge wear and lingerie line (LibeRATED) and adding cosmetic products to BeauTee Essentials.
