Hi Stacy, thank you so much for sitting down with us again. For folks who might have missed our initial interview, can you start by briefly introducing yourself?
I am an entrepreneur whose passion is photography. I love shooting individual and family portraits but my heart lives in the super creative projects. I am a storyteller and any opportunity I get to bring a story to life is a dream come true.
It’s been several years since you became a professional photographer; how is it going?
It’s going great! Of course, 2020 was a bit of a setback but now I am starting to get back on track.
What would you say have been the best and worst experiences you have had since going professional?
The best has been meeting new people and the tiny bit of joy they express when they are happy with my work. The worst was definitely the beginning of the pandemic when the world stopped for months. Needless to say, there wasn’t much business for portrait photographers. What I learned was how to adapt and expand the services I offer.
If you could offer some advice to a new up-and-coming photographer in this current climate, what would it be?
Don’t let rejection discourage you, increase your skillset, and always be ready to shoot.
It was so great to reconnect. One last question – how can our readers connect with you, learn more or support you?
Cool. My website is mossyandtea.org and I am on most social media platforms as Mossy and Tea.
