Today we’d like to introduce you to Nasim Hoomanrad.
Hi Nasim, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Let me start by saying: where I am today was never in my “plan”, never a possibility, not even a dream. And that reminds me every day that there is a world of possibilities beyond our knowing as long as we allow ourselves to let go and be moved. As a social worker in the field of domestic and sexual violence for over a decade, my focus was on my clients, the cause, and ending violence in the world. Where I had forgotten to focus was inside. During my years in the field, I was confronted with burn-out, vicarious trauma, and challenges with my health and wealth. My own self-care was inadequate and often nonexistent. My energy and emotions depleted. I kept coming back to work looking for something to change, somewhere to make a difference – “Maybe that will refuel me!” What I didn’t realize at the time was that my body and spirit were waking me up to years of suppressed emotions, neglected inner-child wounds, and a way of being that no longer aligned with who I was meant to be in the world.
It was too heavy to carry. Feeling isolated and exhausted, I finally made a choice to take back my wellness and take care of myself in new ways. A friend introduced me to Reiki energy healing. At the time, I wasn’t spiritual, and I wasn’t out with my woo yet, so I was skeptical and shrugged it off. She gifted me a session when I was moving back to Texas, and it was a gift that continues to give. I didn’t know what exactly happened or how it worked, but I knew I felt better. The knot in my stomach and the tension in my chest disappeared. When I moved back to Houston and began a rigorous and stressful position, Reiki became my new self-care ritual.
Over the years of receiving Reiki, it empowered me to create a connection between my body, mind, and spirit. I had embarked on a journey of self-love, never realizing how much of my identity, career, and relationships were connected to my lack of love and acceptance of myself. I had no idea how much my energy was impacted by my work, others, and, most importantly, my own thoughts and emotions. As I combined this work with coaching and therapeutic care, I began to shift my life in profound ways that left me empowered, inflow and creating my life’s path and purpose. Magic began to work through and for me in ways I never imagined – nor would my control have allowed. Three years into my wellness journey, I became trained in Reiki as a means to continue supporting my wellbeing and to get to share this wonderful gift with others. I have since become a Reiki Master and teacher, left the nonprofit sector, and in 2018 founded Find Love Within. I get to offer Reiki energy healing, spiritual coaching, and enhance self-love full time, all the time! It doesn’t feel like work, and I am still getting to end violence in the world – except now it’s from the inside out.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely scary along the way. I never thought of myself as having my own business. Going from a nonprofit mindset to an entrepreneurial mindset has definitely been one of my challenges in this journey. The altruistic part of me that desires to be of service and just give doesn’t work based on the way our world operates. My time and energy have value. My skills have value. My own inner-work and training that guides me in guiding others have value. I’ve had to learn all this and is very much the work of shifting into abundance and self-worth. I have to challenge my scarcity mindset every time it comes up as it relates to money, business, and the value of self differently from what I’ve known it to be.
At the beginning of the pandemic, my fears around financial security were fiercely ignited – I was in my first year as full-time in my business, and I had ONE client in April. It gave me the opportunity to walk my own talk, use my tools and wisdom and actually sit in that fear. That allowed me to transmute the energy into courage and creativity that led to a number of opportunities and growth this last year, including a skill I never knew existed within me – paint pouring! I have begun to look at it as a process of evolution as I evolve rather than it needing to look a certain way. This feels more authentic and allows my clients to grow with me instead of keeping myself (or them) small.

Find Love Within is a journey, an evolution, a rebirth of oneself. It is coming back to the pure love that lives within each of us. It is the choice and choosing to love yourself deeper than ever before. We all have the power to heal ourselves, but we don’t always know how and often don’t feel worthy enough of giving ourselves the love we pour into others.
How this is achieved is through Reiki energy healing and Soul Awakening Coaching. Many of my clients combine the 2 for a transformative 2-hour healing sessions as we dive into the emotional and mental bodies through coaching, then lay them on the table for a revitalizing energetic clearing with Reiki.
Reiki is a Japanese healing modality used for stress reduction and relaxation. Additional benefits include healing of dis-eases, spiritual enlightenment, emotional regulation, and overall physical and psychological wellness. The technique is administered by the Reiki practitioner laying their hands on the client’s energy centers throughout the body to facilitate the movement of stuck and stagnant energies held in the body and auric field.
Every Reiki practitioner has their own unique style and gifts. I incorporate crystal therapy and aromatherapy in the Reiki sessions for a powerful 90 minutes of energy work and debriefing of where the journey took us and what (spiritual) medicine we brought back for integration.
Soul Awakening Coaching sessions incorporate a number of different techniques and modalities to get you out of your head and into your body and heart space. It is from the wisdom within the body we talk to and work with to guide us. My coaching work centers around inner-child discovery, self-love organizing, and breaking through and rewriting limiting beliefs and traumas.
Starting this fall, offerings will include some exciting and powerful new modalities: Soulidefy – combined breathwork and energy healing session to defy to mind and free the soul; Cosmic Reiki – astrology meets Reiki meets you; and shamanic healing sessions. On Sundays, we offer a spiritual conversation group called “Ruminate With Us.”
Outside of the individual work, I provide consulting to organizations who are committed to bring a healing practice to their staff and company culture. This can include staff processing, guided self-care activities, and more. I have had the honor of working with several nonprofits in Houston and a local foundation in this capacity. When our own healing meets community, the ripples go wide and far.
And the last leg of Find Love Within is the creative elements of photography and paint-pouring that allow me to transmute energy into real moments in time. Reiki is a thread woven through each and every one of these offerings. Even if you don’t know it, you will feel it. It’s an honor to get to do this work and share this powerful yet gentle healing, hold sacred space, and lovingly walk alongside others on their life journeys.
