Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryanna Capoy.
Hi Bryanna, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I’ve always been surrounded by dance my whole life. I did ballet, jazz & gymnastics as a kid, I also did dance in Highschool. In college, I was trying to find my place & hobbies what I wanted to really do. After I started raving & going to festivals, I really got into shuffling, then started following other shufflers & saw they were sponsored by Bang Energy & wanted to do what they did. I started listening to podcasts in 2018-2019, especially self help, educational podcasts & they inspired me and I wanted to do better. I also started to realize a lot of my friends were coming up doing their own things on being successful, I saw that I was kind of very well connected to interview them & inspire others with their stories so then in the very beginning of 2020 I decided to start my own, with the goal to inspire others to pursue their dreams when they don’t have anyone or a support system to help them. So then after starting my podcast, I met other dancers & shufflers & one introduced me to gogo dancing, then I realized this is what I wanted to do. I then applied got Bang Energy & now an affiliate for Bang how I wanted to be a few years back. Now trying to balance it all, dance, podcast & planning on starting my own business & hopefully get to travel & I aspire to inspire.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, I wish I could say it was. I doubt myself all the time & have that little voice that tries to talk myself out of the path I chose & just quit it all then just use my degree to get a “normal” 9-5 job like I was told to do. But then I realize I wouldn’t change anything about my path & that it’s all worth it, I feel like no matter what we do, everything is always going to have its good and bad days no matter what so I figured staying on the road that actually makes me happy & that will be worth it in the long run.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Gogo dancers are the dancers that hype up the crowd that dance next to the Dj. We take classes 4-5 sometimes more per week, we strive to be professional in point dancers as much as we can be. On my podcast, I interview a bunch of different entrepreneurs, business owners, artists, music producers, athletes & dancers, etc. to get their stories out there & motivate others to go after what makes them truly happy.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see myself full-time gogo dancing/ traveling performing/teaching/podcasting & running my own business while doing all this combining it all together.
