Hi Shameka D, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Let’s see? Where did my love for helping people work through their finances begin?
In 2008, I started working for GMAC (General Motors Acceptance Corporation). I was promoted to Team manager within a year and this is when I first realized that I enjoyed helping people understand their finances.
In 2009, I moved to Houston, Tx. and around the beginning of 2010, I started working for a company called ER Solutions as a collector and blew it out of the water! I learned what being a collector was all about, the good and the bad and my negotiation and sales skills grew as I learned about my customers.
In 2012 I started working for Capital One Auto Finance and learned even more about the business of people, cars and finance and it stayed with me.
Fast-forward to June of 2018, I became a part of a multi-level marketing company that helped people fix their credit and I excelled. As I excelled in that company, I realized that customers weren’t getting the “hands on” assistance with their credit that they really needed and they weren’t being completely educated on how to KEEP their credit clean and clear, WHY they needed great credit, HOW the credit algorithm works and WHAT components make up their score and so much more.
This is when I decided that I needed to be more “hands on” with the people I serve and I wanted them to walk away with more than what they came with and that’s how JCS Financial & Consulting Services was born.
As of today, we provide personal and business credit services to individuals and businesses, along with tax and accounting services. God has truly been good and continues to enlarge our territory. It is HE that makes this happens!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely NOT been a smooth road, but it has definitely been worth it.
You see a lot of businesses who advertise the “lovely” parts of being in business, but no one ever talks about how they’ve struggled with building clientele, non-supportive family, family that DOES supports, people talking against your business and trying to sabotage and assassinate your character, having to start over, etc.
I’ve been through it all and that is what continues to build my character and my faith.

JCS Financial & Consulting Services provides credit, tax and business maintenance to individuals and businesses to maximize their financial potential through education, implementation and execution.
I am a certified Credit specialist (personal and business), IRS Tax preparer and we assist small businesses with accounting specialties.
JCS Financial was first known for credit restoration and continues to be known for that and much more!
I am proud that our brand represents financial freedom, not just in your wallet and bank account but in your mind, as well.

Any big plans?
We are looking to expand our business and offer individuals a chance to partner with JCS Financial to become Certified Credit Specialists and use our brand to start their own business by helping others.
We are also getting ready to expand into the trucking sector and I’m excited about that!
