Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Tate-Study.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Rachel. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I worked at Urban Retreat for 20 years and very well-known day spa in River Oaks. I was also the international makeup artist for our makeup line Franche Mineral Cosmetics which allowed me to do numerous fashion shows, TV features, national magazines, the Emmys, Oscars, Fashion Emergency shows, Entertainment Tonight…I come from a family of entrepreneurs my family has been in the roller-skating business 40 years. When urban retreat was sold, it was time for me to take over the family business. However, I wasn’t going to let my career of 25 years end, so fabulous faces were created. It is nestled on Main street in Humble TX. 10 min from IAH airport and 16 miles from downtown Houston.

Has it been a smooth road?
Coming from the spa industry, you typically work for 50% commission and they provide all the essentials a d advertising.

I was fortunate to have found a very reasonable place to rent and had a great support team from my mom Gloria Tate and my husband Jack. We had so much fun decorating and getting everything set up. I had to learn quick innovative ways to promote my talents and services

So, as you know, we’re impressed with fabulous faces by Rachel – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I specialize mainly in permanent cosmetics but I still do regular makeup as well…

I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 1989…

I believe in showing woman how to bring their inner beauty out and make them feel more confident.

Permanent makeup can be life changing for many woman especially if it’s done naturally.

I am very advanced in the field and certified in paramedical scar camouflage as well. It’s helps blend scars and create areola for breast cancer patients.

I have one person that works with me, Jennifer Page, she does beautiful lash extension.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Lol the traffic is terrible, but Houston is a beautiful city with so much diversity. If there is something you’re looking for and can’t find it, I think you’re not looking hard enough.

Permanent Makeup starts at 450 -650 depending on the service – all includes 2 applications
Makeup applications, bridal, prom etc. start at 50.p
Lash Extensions start at 100.00 for set and 45.0p for refill no contracts
