Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris “Tracmuzik” Thomas.
Hi Chris, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I started off musician, self-taught on drums, Keyboard, and Bass Guitar. Keep in mind I had no theory; I just played by ear. I figured how to work the sequencer on the Korg, and it was all she wrote when I came to me producing. Grew up in Southwest Alief, Texas, where a lot of great gifted people came from… High School, I was popular because I was the “Table and Pen” producer, making beats for my classmates as they rap n freestyle. I took it serious when I was getting attention from making music. With time, consistency, taking notes, and practice, it landed me here now. I’m currently a producer for the Houston Rockets and Trulusso (New Tequila liquor company), which will drop this summer of 2023!!! Also, I’m proudly to announce that Houston Rockets recently drop a Clutch City Cypher!!! With some of the Hottest young artists out of H town such as: That Mexican OT, Maxo Kream, Kentheman, Sauce Walker, and Kiotti. First time is ever done in the history of NBA!!!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing has ever came easy for me nor smooth. It cost double or triple when you don’t know. However, lessons come out of situations that you don’t know when you actually make it out of the situation. I’m still learning and going obstacles now. That’s just life.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a multi-genre music producer that plays multiple instruments. I love producing multiple genres because it keeps my creativity lane open. I’m known for my Trap and RnB tracks. I’m proud of ME improving on me as a producer.
What does success mean to you?
Success to me is accomplishment of a completed goal, no matter the size of the goal.
