Julie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Photography has been a big part of my life for over 40 years now, and in the last decade, I’ve focused on exploring the Texas Gulf Coast and nearby regions. I’ve exhibited my work in local art galleries and recently launched a website where I sell my photographic art.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The photography side of my journey has been incredibly enjoyable and rewarding. With a background in Medical Technology and no formal business training, navigating the business aspects has been a real challenge.

I am an award-winning Fine Art travel and nature photographer. Through my travels and exploring new areas, I create compositions that capture the essence and beauty of what the subject is projecting to me. My unique artwork is available on several different archival quality substrates such as paper, canvas, metal, wood, and acrylic. As a small business owner I am available to help customers through their art decision with sizing and substrate selection. Art is such a deeply personal choice, and I want my customers to absolutely love what they have purchased to display on their walls.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success, to me, is achieving a sense of fulfillment and purpose in what I do, while making a living and continuously improving my art.
