Hi Olayemi, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My business journey began with a childhood passion for drawing, which naturally evolved into designing flyers for various events as I got older. This love for art led me to explore digital drawing and even to creating custom T-shirts before opening an Etsy shop to sell my designs. Despite some success, I felt something was missing.
In 2022, I took a big leap and started my event decor business, Noted Events. I noticed that personal celebrations often lacked unique decorations, so I decided to use my artistic skills to create beautiful and stress-free experiences for my clients.
Today, my focus is on transforming spaces into memorable settings that capture the essence of each celebration. This journey has been challenging but rewarding, proving the value of following your passion and growing with purpose.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting my event decor business has been a thrilling yet challenging experience. I’ve had to find ways to stand out in a crowded market, manage my budget carefully, and handle both logistics and custom designs for each event. It’s been tough, but also deeply rewarding. Throughout this journey, Psalm 18:32 keeps me motivated: “It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.” This verse reminds me that with faith and determination, I can overcome any obstacles.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Creativity helps me design standout decor, while my organizational skills keep everything running smoothly. I pay close attention to details and adapt to unexpected changes to meet my clients’ needs. Good communication and problem-solving are key to staying on track. My passion drives my work, and excellent customer service helps me build strong client relationships.

I’m a dedicated wife and mother. I currently work in the healthcare field, while balancing family life, studying, and pursuing a path in entrepreneurship. I find great joy in watching my child grow and in helping others. I cherish every moment with my family and strive to make a positive impact in both my personal and professional life.
