Check Out Dōnald Rashard’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dōnald Rashard

Hi Dōnald, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Dōnald Rashard, I’m a Music Producer, Artist, Songwriter & Photographer. I started making beats around 2021. I’ve always been so fond of music and the idea of how it’s structured. Music has always been my first love as far as I can remember. My love for music began once I stepped into this world.

My love for Photography started in Middle School. My parents gifted me a Canon T6 Rebel and honestly, I would go back & forth with using it because different things always peaked my interests at the time being. However, I just recently gained a love for Photography again. I love the essence of capturing a candid moment.

I grew up heavily listening to Zydeco/Southern Hip-Hop/Soul. I was always into a bunch of different things that would have my interests such as Theatre, Sports, etc. However, Everything would always lead back to music as it was something that came naturally for me. My influences I would listen to growing up were Ludacris, Usher & Johnny Gill.

I make majority of Pop-R&B beats influenced with a Southern HIp-Hop sound.

My close friend and I (upcoming Pop-R&B singer, “Shelby Marié”) had a talk around September 2021 about where do we see ourselves in the future and one thing led to another the conversation turned into pursuing a career entering the Music Industry. Since then, I have been working on her debut single & EP.

As of now, Songs I’ve produced are getting ready to drop really soon and I recently decided that I want to start making music for myself and I’m now in the process of releasing my debut single. I’ve been fortunate to make lifetime connections with people I met in the music industry that have given me some of the best advice on how to maneuver in the industry. One of my good friends, Dwight “Skrapp” Reynolds told me to “Always Be A Student”. I lead with that mindset 24/7.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I knew walking in to this industry that it wouldn’t be smooth at all. That’s why I maintained a good head on my shoulder and good working relationships with people. There are moments where I question am I going the right direction. I constantly remind myself that I’ve came too far to question is the right decision for me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I produce music that mainly consists of Pop-R&B. I’m most proud of my upbringing and how I’ve branded myself over the years. I think what sets me apart from everyone is having a ear for all genres of music and being able to make a beat that can be catered to any specific audience.

Any big plans?
I plan achieving music success to any heights that satisfies me. I think any artist would hope to have the honor of calling themselves a Grammy winner, so I would love to win a Grammy someday down the line. I’m working on a project of songs that can potentially turn into album someday due to the amount of music I’ve made.
