As a mother of two, I started my journey in the beauty industry by obtaining my aesthetician licensure in 2015. Since then, I have refined my expertise in medical aesthetics, holistic wellness, and skincare. Driven by my passion for helping others feel confident and achieve their desired appearance, I pursued further studies and research to become a Master Holistic Aesthetician. My focus is on skincare treatments that highlight natural beauty through a holistic approach.
Today, I serve as the esteemed Clinical Director at Naked SKN Aesthetics®. With over 22 years of experience dedicated to cosmetic excellence, I hold quadruple certifications in body tattoo removal and scar remodeling, along with certifications in cosmetic injectables and advanced dermal fillers. Throughout my career, I have worked under the mentorship of respected medical professionals, including Dr. Jeff Nance, further cementing my reputation in medical aesthetics.
Naked SKN Aesthetics® is aligned with top organizations such as the International Organization of Spa Professionals, American Academy of Micropigmentation, and the Association of Skincare Professionals. I continue my educational journey by pursuing a double major in Advanced Studies in Nursing (ASBN) program at St. Thomas University in Shenandoah, TX, and I am currently obtaining a PhD in Health and Sciences, with a focus on Sports and Exercise, ensuring I remain at the forefront of industry standards.
My expertise blends modern techniques with artistic precision, allowing me to create natural enhancements across various body and facial features. My meticulous approach and commitment to medical excellence have garnered me a loyal clientele who trust me to deliver exceptional, natural-looking results.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey in the beauty and wellness industry has not been without its challenges. While I have achieved significant milestones, there have been hurdles along the way that have shaped my career.
1. Balancing Family and Career: As a mother of two, I faced the difficulties of balancing my family responsibilities with my professional ambitions. Juggling the demands of motherhood while pursuing the aesthetician licensure and advanced education required careful time management and support from my family.
2. Navigating the Competitive Industry: The beauty and wellness industry are highly competitive, and I had to continuously refine my skills and knowledge to stand out. This meant investing time and effort into ongoing education and staying updated on the latest trends and techniques.
3. Building Client Relationships: Establishing trust and rapport with clients can be challenging, especially in a field where results are critical to client satisfaction. I had to work diligently to develop a positive reputation and ensure that my clients felt valued and understood.
4. Adapting to Evolving Standards: The medical aesthetics industry is continually advancing with new technologies and techniques. Stephani has navigated the challenge of keeping up with these changes while upholding high standards of care and safety for her clients. These challenges have ultimately strengthened my leadership skills, making me a more effective leader in my current role.
5. Pursuing Higher Education: Returning to school for a double major and pursuing a PhD in Health and Sciences has presented its own set of challenges. Balancing academic demands with my professional responsibilities requires dedication and perseverance.
Through these struggles, Over the years, I developed resilience and a deeper understanding of the beauty industry, which ultimately strengthened my commitment to my clients and my craft. Each challenge has contributed to my growth as both a professional and a person, allowing me to provide exceptional service and support to those I serve.
