Daily Inspiration: Meet Erielle Gabay

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erielle Gabay

Hi Erielle, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey is a blend of overcoming personal challenges, academic growth, and professional ambition. At 6, I was diagnosed with dyslexia, which taught me resilience early on. At 16, I faced one of the hardest traumas of my life—followed by being sent to a wilderness bootcamp due to my strict upbringing, I learned early on how to overcome obstacles, these experiences shaped my resilience and independence,

After high school I went on to pursue a bachelor’s degree in PR and advertising at St. Edward’s University in Austin. During college, I worked at a music magazine, writing articles about local shows, and festivals, and interviewing artists. I planned to stay in Austin following college graduation, but due to certain circumstances I ultimately decided to move back to Houston.

I joined a rodeo committee, started networking, and making a name for myself in my new city, I began working at a PR firm where I represented a pro rugby team, and eventually became the marketing director for a CBD manufacturer. When the pandemic hit, I was laid off, but I seized the opportunity to further my education at Rice University, earning a digital marketing certificate that would propel me into the next phase of my career.

I got a marketing coordinator position at a local Mercedes-Benz dealership where I eventually got awarded the title of business development and marketing manager. Alongside my professional work, I volunteer with multiple organizations close to my heart and most recently I have decided to participate in the 2025 Miss Texas USA Pageant.

Behind this story of my success were so many struggles unseen to most and I’m incredibly proud of where I’ve arrived today.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
In short, no. It hasn’t been a smooth road. My life has been filled with struggles; it took time for me to believe in my ability to overcome them. But every challenge has played a part in shaping the person I am today. Every obstacle, whether personal trauma, career uncertainty, or life’s unexpected twists, has taught me to use these challenges as opportunities to embrace growth.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As the marketing manager at a Mercedes-Benz dealership, I specialize in developing and executing strategic marketing plans that enhance brand awareness and drive growth. I love that my role combines creativity and strategy, allowing me to lead initiatives from content creation to event management while overseeing multidisciplinary teams. One of my proudest achievements is the production of our dealership’s award-winning TV commercial, where I played a key role in coordinating every detail, from locations to talent. This hands-on involvement in the entire process is something I’m particularly passionate about, ensuring that every project I touch reflects both innovation and impact.

Outside of work, I have a passion for advocacy, and I’m driven by my desire to make a meaningful difference through volunteer efforts with organizations such as GiGi’s Playhouse and the Houston SPCA. I am currently preparing for Miss Texas USA 2025, which aligns with my personal mission to empower others and create a positive influence. This balance of professional creativity and personal dedication to charitable causes sets me apart, as I seek to leave a lasting mark both within my industry and in the world around me.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I’m not sure if I belive it is really “luck” or just the ripple effect that comes with every decision we make. I do believe the way you choose to view a situation and how you respond to it makes the biggest difference.

There’s no doubt I’ve encountered some “bad luck,” but I’ve come to realize it often leads to new opportunities. Ultimately, I’ve learned that luck, whether good or bad, is what you make of it. There are always chances to learn, grow, and turn things around.
