Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacie Zollars
Hi Stacie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
At 25, I walked away from the corporate grind, trading outside sales for breathwork and sun salutations. Yoga has always been my sanctuary since 2015 and it became my career. I continue to teach, practice, and even owned a studio at one time—until my soul craved something more.
My forever baby is my Sugarface Bakes brand. What started as a passion became a thriving business in 2019, a space where creativity and confections met. My Etsy shop launched in 2020 and continues to flourish, and so did my passion for cooking, leading to two cookbooks that found their way into kitchens everywhere through Amazon. You can find The Best Damn Cookbook books there!
When I am not covered in flour or perfecting a new recipe, I am on the mat, guiding students through flows that echo my own journey—grounded, evolving, and free. Currently, I am choosing to embrace more travel, more yoga adventures, and a delicate balance of business, family, and friendship.
Now, my days are a blend of movement and magic—rolling out dough, rolling out a mat, and rolling with wherever life takes me next.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My struggle was a lack of experience. As time passed, I started to find my emboldened state and thrive from failures. When I fail more times than one person has tried, it has led to my success. I’m no better than anyone else, however, I do choose where to spend my energy and that’s my superpower.
Before 2020, media was different. I had to learn to build/code a website, spent hours on SEO research, and threaded together old film on a different platform before social media platforms made it quick and easy to edit anything on their app. Time was not on my side!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
What started as a passion became a thriving nationwide business, shipping handcrafted baked goods from my Etsy shop to customers all over the country. My treats, made with heart and a sprinkle of magic, found their way into homes, celebrations, and care packages, making every bite a little piece of joy. As orders poured in, so did opportunities—I wrote and published two cookbooks, sharing my love for baking and cooking with even more people.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Surround yourself with people who are more successful than you, who you can learn from, who listen, and who aren’t trying to change you but help you figure out the next stepping stone. It’s tough wearing all the hats! Most importantly, continuing to wake up daily with a morning routine that helps you become the best version of yourself. You show up for yourself first.
