We recently had the chance to connect with Raquel Breaux and have shared our conversation below.
Raquel, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Yes I would hire myself, because I always give 100 percent in any job I’ve ever had, and I always try to be the best I possibly can, I am very competitive and it’s great for any job that involves sales, and growth.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am an entrepreneur, I’ve been involved in the finance and insurance industry for over 10 years, and I have found a love for helping people. I decided to become a Life Coach in Business and mindset, so that I can use my skills I’ve learned, and help others achieve their goals and dreams. It’s very rewarding to help others, by inspiring, mentoring and training, and I absolutely love doing that.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
I would say my mother has been my biggest life teacher about work and business, she’s always been a hard-working woman, very independent, and always has had a positive mindset. She definitely has inspired me to become an entrepreneur and find business opportunities to pursue.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
You have to go through some very dark times, in order to appreciate the good times in life, I feel like suffering through anything in life, makes you really appreciate the good, also to see life in a different light,
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whose ideas do you rely on most that aren’t your own?
It’s very simple, I do a lot of reading books and learning new material, I definitely pick up a lot of information by reading books. I think it’s super important to continue reading books, taking courses etc, so we can continue to evolve and grow in our own lives.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That no matter how bad life got at times, I always found a way to be happy, positive and appreciate life. I never gave up and always wanted more out of life. I am a true adventurer and that I will always find a way to live my life on my terms.
