Hi Dr. Chiquita, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My mornings always begin with prayer — thanking God for the gift of another day.
Depending on the day, I’m either up and ready to go… or hitting the snooze button for a few extra ZZZs.
Once I’m up, it’s all about flow:
Helping my fiancé get out the door, making sure my daughter is up and getting ready for school, and mentally preparing myself for the day ahead.
Some days are smooth. Others are a little more chaotic. But it all starts with gratitude.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Dr. Chiquita Davis, Faith & Business Mentor, Founder of Women With Vision & Purpose (WWVP) and BYM Services. I hold a Doctorate in Christian Counseling and a Master’s in Theology, and my mission is rooted in helping women of faith rise with clarity, confidence, and divine strategy.
Through WWVP, I’ve created a thriving community focused on empowerment, education, community, and impact. I specialize in working with women who are ready to lead, serve, and build with purpose — personally and professionally.
Right now, I’m excited to launch my newest mentorship program, “Built For This,” debuting August 16, 2025. It’s designed for faith-driven women who are ready to lead boldly, walk in purpose, and grow in both faith and function.
In this season, I’m fully embracing my calling as a:
✅ Micro Team Mentor
✅ Workshop Facilitator
✅ Speaker & Panelist
✅ And anything else that aligns with Kingdom purpose
If you’re looking for someone who can lead with both spiritual depth and strategic insight — I’d love to connect.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
In September 2023, I made a bold decision — I partnered with God and committed to a fast.
Believe it or not, I was inspired by a reel from rapper GloRilla, where she shared that before her breakthrough, she fasted and cut off everything that didn’t align with her goals. That message stirred something in me.
I knew it was time to do the same. I disconnected from anything and anyone that wasn’t aligned with where God was taking me. And that obedience shifted everything.
During that fast, I grew closer to God, my business began to flourish, and doors started opening. It was the moment I realized that real power doesn’t come from force — it comes from alignment.
That season marked a turning point. Everything around me began to elevate, and so did I.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
Honestly, one of the deepest lessons I’ve learned is this: no one owes me anything.
The betrayals, the setbacks, even the moments where I betrayed myself by staying silent, shrinking, or settling — they were all character-building moments. Not because they didn’t hurt, but because they forced me to confront what I allowed, what I tolerated, and what I never gave voice to.
Healing came when I stopped blaming and started accepting — not just what happened, but my part in it. That ownership became freedom.
I’ve learned to lean into discomfort and surrender fully to God. Healing for me isn’t a single moment — it’s been a daily choice to grow, release, and trust His process over my own.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes — I do my best to show up as my authentic self, both privately and publicly.
I don’t pretend to have it all together or know it all, and I believe that vulnerability creates connection. Being honest about where I am gives others permission to grow, too.
The version of me you see is real — flaws, faith, growth, and all. That’s how I continue to attract and align with people who are also walking in truth and purpose.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
For those who truly knew me, I want them to say: she died empty.
I’ve always said my goal is to do everything God has told me to do — to leave nothing undone. I want people to remember that I stood my ground, planted my flag, and made it known that I was here to empower, encourage, and most importantly, share the love and power of Christ.
That’s the legacy I’m building — one of obedience, purpose, and faith in action.
