Good morning Bill, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Reflecting on the past year, a moment that has consistently brought a smile to my face is the fulfillment of my goal to visit 50 airports in celebration of my 50th birthday. Each airport represented not just a journey to a new destination, but also a moment of personal triumph and exploration. From bustling international hubs to charming regional terminals, every location added a unique chapter to my story. This experience taught me the value of setting ambitious goals and the joy of seeing them through. It’s a tangible reminder that with determination and planning, I can turn dreams into reality. The accomplishment of exceeding my goal and landing at 51 airports fills me with pride and a sense of adventure, inspiring me to continue exploring beyond what I thought was possible.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello! My name is Bill Heuer, and I’m the founder of iHostPoker Casino Parties. We specialize in bringing the excitement of casino gaming to private parties, corporate events, and successful fundraisers. What makes us unique is our personalized approach, creating fun and memorable experiences tailored to each client. I’m also proud to a partner with Texas Card House, a premier poker club dedicated to providing a welcoming environment for poker enthusiasts. Through my work, I aim to build connections, create entertainment, and share my passion for poker and casino games with others. I’m excited to continue growing my brand and bringing people together through the thrill of the game.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Bonds between people can be broken by misunderstandings, lack of communication, betrayal, or unresolved conflict. Negative emotions such as resentment, jealousy, or fear can also weaken relationships over time.
Restoring those bonds often requires honesty, forgiveness, empathy, and open dialogue. Rebuilding trust, showing genuine care, and making an effort to understand each other’s perspectives help mend damaged relationships. Patience and consistent effort are key to healing and strengthening the connections between people.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, it would be to try harder sooner and to risk more. I believe the payoff would be greater now that I am older. Your youth is the perfect time to take risks because you have plenty of time to recover and rebuild if needed. Embracing that mindset earlier could have opened even more opportunities and helped me grow faster. I’d encourage my younger self to seize the moment more often and trust in my ability to bounce back from setbacks.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely not. The public version of me is quite different from who I truly am. I prefer small circles, quiet nights, and spending time in deep thought, analyzing situations to find the best solutions for complex problems. The energetic and outgoing persona I show publicly is something I adopt for those moments when I’m in the spotlight or on display—you could say it’s a role I play. Deep down, I value peace and reflection, and that’s the real me.

I am definitely doing what I was born to do. The casino business is in my blood, having been born and raised in Las Vegas. I have a genuine passion for the thrill and excitement of casino life, and I believe that enthusiasm shows in the events I host and the legacy I leave behind. It’s truly a part of who I am, and I feel fortunate to pursue my calling every day.
