Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Dianna Wacasey of North

Dianna Wacasey shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Dianna , thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
For me, it will always be integrity. Intelligence and energy are both wonderful and necessary, but without integrity, they lose their value. Integrity is what guides your choices when no one is watching. It’s standing firm in your beliefs, doing the right thing even when it’s the harder path, and being honest in both business and life. I’ve always believed that integrity builds trust—and without trust, whether in relationships or in a brand, nothing else really matters.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Dianna Wacasey, founder and owner of Momo’s Secrets. More importantly, though, I’m a wife, a mother, and a very proud grandmother. Family is at the center of everything I do, and that’s exactly why I created Momo’s Secrets.

My Grandmother was a huge influence in my life-her strength, her wisdom, and her way of living with honesty and simplicity left a deep impression on me. Inspired by that legacy, I wanted to create something that reflected those same values. That’s how Simply Magic was born-our toxin-free, all-purpose cleaner that allows families to have a fresh, clean home without worrying about harsh chemicals.

What makes Momo’s Secrets unique is that it’s more than just a cleaning product. It’s peace of mind. Every bottle is made with the care and intention I would give to my own family. In a world full of products loaded with ingredients most of us can’t even pronounce, I wanted to provide something safe, simple, and effective-something people could trust.

For me, this brand is about more than surfaces and shine. It’s about serving others, protecting future generations, and creating homes that are both healthy and welcoming. At the heart of it all, I want families to feel cared for-that’s what makes Momo’s Secrets truly different.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
Without a doubt, my grandmother. She was such a powerful influence in my life, and her example still guides me today. She taught me strength, but also tenderness. She showed me how to live with honesty and integrity, and how to keep faith at the center of everything.

Those lessons stayed with me, and they’re part of the reason I was drawn to create something simple yet powerful like Simply Magic. My grandmother’s influence gave me both a deep respect for tradition and the courage to follow my own path.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering has a way of teaching lessons that nothing else can. For me, the hard seasons of life made me stronger and helped me believe in myself in ways that success never could have. When everything feels like it’s falling apart, you learn what you’re truly made of.

But more than that, my struggles deepened my faith and trust in God. In those moments where I felt like I had no answers, I leaned into Him, and I learned that He is always faithful. Success can be rewarding, yes, but it doesn’t test your character as much as suffering does. Pain taught me to persevere, to stay grounded in hope, and to keep moving forward even when it feels impossible.

Because of those experiences, I now live with greater gratitude. I don’t take blessings for granted. And I’ve discovered that resilience isn’t just about pushing through-it’s about growing in the process. That’s a lesson success could never teach.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
I’ve always believed that parenting is one of the most important callings God gives us, and I think today’s culture has drifted away from that in some ways. There’s a growing trend of parents trying to be more of a “buddy” than a guide, letting children make decisions far earlier than they’re ready for. While I understand the heart behind wanting to give children freedom, I believe what they need most is direction, structure, and love from the adults in their lives.

Our job as parents is to raise, teach, nurture, and encourage the precious children God entrusted to us. It’s not always easy-it requires consistency, patience, and sometimes tough love-but the reward is watching them grow into kind, resilient, contributing adults. Once that foundation is laid, then there’s plenty of room for a beautiful friendship with your children as adults.

I know this isn’t the most popular opinion these days, but I do see how important it is. Children thrive when they have guidance and boundaries, and I believe giving them that strong start is one of the greatest gifts we can offer them.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What light inside you have you been dimming?
For quite some time now, I’ve felt a strong calling to write a book. Honestly, that nudge has been in my heart for years, but lately it has grown louder, almost impossible to ignore. I’ve kept it tucked away, telling myself “one day,” but I know that light has been dimmed far too long.

There are several directions I feel led toward. One is a book of morning devotionals-something to help people start their days centered on God, encouraged, and grounded in truth. Another is a book about grace and mercy, because I believe those two gifts are at the heart of everything: how we receive them, and how we extend them to others. And then there’s the pull to write about living a simpler, easier life-getting back to what truly matters. A life that puts God first, family second, and lets the rest fall into place.

For me, writing feels like part of the legacy I want to leave. It’s not about having my name on the cover of a book-it’s about sharing words that can point people back to faith, hope, and the beauty of simplicity.
