Jiggaondabeat of Missouri City on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Jiggaondabeat shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Jiggaondabeat , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: Have you stood up for someone when it cost you something?
This is a great question and I have to keep it a buck, I really stand up for creatives. Because a lot of the times we are looked at as weird, not normal, different, or misunderstood because we see the world in a different eye. Being a producer, I’m basically doing this every time I work with an artists. I make sure I put 100 % energy into them because I believe in them and I want to see them grow and succeed, even if I am just in the background and they have all the spot light. As long that person is growing I know I’m doing something right.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Bet, so I go by the name JIGGAONDABEAT, I am a music producer and cofounder of LSM (Loose Screw Music). I was born and raised here in Houston, Texas. Couple things to know about me is that music has as also been my peace of mind, it just brings joy to my life it helps me become a better person. Music brings me closer to people and helps me do God’s work. Since I was a kid I always been a person who loved to help people and music lets me speak a certain language to help engage and interact with people. Like I said before I was laughed at and looked at differently when I was younger, hell probably still am to this day, but it’s all good because one thing music has taught me over the years is to be true to myself and just be me. And honestly I could care less what anybody thinks or says about me because I know who I am and that’s just a cool, funny big fella who sits at the computer and make people speakers break.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
This is a deep question but getting straight to the point the world didn’t tell me who I had to be, God told me what he wanted me to be, which is to just be myself. Which is a God fearing man that does God’s work. He has put avenues and challenges in my life to be a child of God. So I’ve always been the same person I just evolved and gotten better over time.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self to embrace being different, you are doing great, and make sure your doing what’s best for you.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That social media is the real world.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I mean people will think what they want to think, but the biggest thing I want people to remember is that I am a genuine person is big on everyone chasing their dreams. And to smile every day. You only have one life to live.
