Good morning Angela , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
Painting lets me find my soul. When I paint I reflect on my life, past and current. It gives me direction and helps me release any self doubts
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I have two brands
Angela Rose Art is my art and painting.
Angela Rose Wearable Art is my fashion site where I take my artwork and incorporate it into fashion.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
When I finally believe I was an artist. It was like a light went on in the darkness. I was like oh wow now it all makes sense. I didn’t have the confidence before. Once I realized my creative abilities. I understood that I am different than most people. But that can be a good thing.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Never give up on yourself. Be who you are for you not others. We are all captains of our destiny. The key is to never give up and not fit into someone else box.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My friends and family. I care about people. We are all human and deserve kindness and respect.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
It’s ok to be different than others. We are not all made to fit in one box. Be who you are and with kindness. You will find the right tribe when it comes. Being yourself and by yourself is better than being with people who don’t support you or understand you.
