Hi Aleisha, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
I feel like integrity is the most important value. Honesty is the best policy in life and business. I have strong moral values and won’t change who I am and who I’ve become. I appreciate others who are honest with me as well.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am the owner of Natural Beauty Organic Products DBA Lele’s Natural Products. I have been in business for six years. I started out making my hair butter for me and my daughters naturally curly hair because everything in the store was drying our hair out. I was a vendor at various events around Houston introducing my products to everyone. I received lots of positive feedback and quickly grew my business into my own small storefront in 2020. I now produce a wide variety of products such as body butter, hair growth oil and hair butter. Our entire family use our products resulting in healthy hair journeys. I’m currently working on a new location to better serve the greater Houston area.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
My mother and father taught me the most about work. They both instilled good work ethic in me at an early age. They always worked hard and provided for me and my siblings. I never saw them give up or quit anything. So when I became a parent, I did the same.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Live life to the fullest. Have no regrets. Your happiness is first priority. Health is wealth. Never give up.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes I am one hundred percent my true authentic self always.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m praying and meditating. When I wake up the first thing I do is pray and thank God. I mostly meditate early in the morning and after an intense work out at the gym. I put on relaxing music in the sauna and meditate. I let go of my busy day and release any tension.
