Rosina, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Wake up around 8AM, stretch, and start with emails. I try to respond to my clients as soon as possible when my day starts at 10AM. I go to the gym and then make dinner.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi my name is Rosina, I own Brushes and Roses. I’m a makeup artist, with a diverse team to help any bride to be. I am currently working on new business ideas that are completely opposite of what I currently own.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
That I was going to inherently obtain superpowers
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I don’t think so, I always believed in Brushes and Roses so I just kept pushing. I didn’t think failure was an option, there were times I got a job to keep my job.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
I don’t believe I have much of a public persona, I try not to have one anyway. I like to believe that Brushes and Roses has its own entity.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I think I’d save up for three years, pull everything out of retirement and spend it recklessly around the world
