Meet Tiffani Davis of Conroe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffani Davis.

Hi Tiffani, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up watching my mother live a life of service and sacrifice for her students, most of whom came from low-income communities. She modeled what it meant to pour into others, even when it cost her personally. That example, along with my own graduate studies in sociology and theology, gave me a deep understanding of the important role of families and their influence on society.
My husband, Wil, spent his career in law enforcement, where he saw firsthand how families in crisis often created cycles of brokenness that impacted children and, ultimately, the community at large. Despite all that we knew from our education and experience, our own marriage reached a breaking point. We separated, filed for divorce, and our family, especially our three children, felt the weight of that pain. They had been raised in a close, conservative home, and suddenly everything familiar was unraveling.
Yet, in the middle of the turmoil, neither of us truly wanted to destroy our family. Somehow, in all the chaos, we shifted from fighting each other to fighting for our marriage. Through much prayer and the support of a wonderful counselor, we reconciled. That counselor helped us heal, grow, and remember that with God’s grace, restoration is possible. It was in that season of pain that God gave me the vision for Kingdom Family Ministry (KFM). Wil was immediately on board and ready to embrace the mission.
KFM exists because I know the struggle firsthand and wanted to provide support to families through our Families First Programs. At the core is the Marriage Support Program, where we have a network of providers couples can receive marriage counseling from that we pay for. Even as ordained ministers who had counseled others before, we needed help ourselves. And God provided. We recognize that many couples can’t afford $150+ an hour for counseling, and I never want cost to be the reason someone doesn’t receive the support they need. This isn’t just about avoiding divorce; it’s about helping couples move from surviving to thriving. I want families to build marriages that are life-giving, marriages their children will want to model.
The vision goes beyond marriage counseling. KFM also provides emergency assistance to families in crisis through grocery gift cards, utility support, and our Care Crates, boxes filled with essential household items that are often overlooked. Think about the stress of not being able to afford soap, or the reality of a young girl missing school because her parents can’t buy feminine hygiene products. These are everyday struggles that weigh heavily on families battling financial hardship. Through these services, we want families to know they are seen, heard, and supported.
My journey from brokenness to restoration is the heartbeat of Kingdom Family Ministry. I believe strong families build strong communities, and every service we offer is aimed at equipping families to thrive for generations to come.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When you build something from the ground up there will be challenges. Kingdom Family Ministry is a nonprofit 501(c)(3). We are constantly trying to raise funds, find resources, and gain visibility. Our biggest fundraiser is our Fairway For Families Annual Golf Tournament at Northgate Country Club in Houston, TX. A lot of time and work goes into organizing that but thanks to sponsors like HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest, our many volunteers, and supporters it’s worth the work.

There have been many moments when it felt overwhelming. But every time we see a marriage restored, a family supported with groceries or a Care Crate, or a parent relieved that they can keep the lights on, it reminds me why we press forward. The struggles have shaped me as a leader and strengthened the compassion and authenticity the organization operates in.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My background has always centered around people and their stories. I’ve worked as a counselor and even owned my own counseling service, but I spent the majority of my career (over 20 years) as a sociology professor.
Four years ago, I stepped into authorship and published my first book, Driven to Find Peace, Purpose and Power, a 21-day devotional designed to encourage and refocus readers. The following year, I released Change Is Coming: Faith to Face the Inevitable, which went on to become an Amazon best-seller. That book was deeply personal because it drew from the painful changes I experienced in my own marriage and the lessons God revealed to me through that journey.

How do you think about happiness?
There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a couple reconcile, a parent relieved because their lights won’t be turned off, or a child smile because their home feels safe again.
My greatest joy comes from my own family, my husband, our Brian, Jordan, and Sidni, and the legacy we’re building together. My husband and I welcomed our first grandchild two years, a beautiful baby boy named Rayne. Together, we are able to watch the next generation of our family grow up. After walking through our own struggles and finding restoration, I don’t take peace at home for granted. It fuels my passion for Kingdom Family Ministry and keeps me grounded in gratitude.
