Story & Lesson Highlights with Logan Lopez of The Woodlands

Logan Lopez shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Logan, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
Right now, I feel called to expand my business into laser tattoo removal specifically for unwanted or botched permanent makeup. For a long time, I hesitated, because I was worried that offering removal might highlight the lack of quality work and artists in our industry. But I’ve realized it’s actually a way to raise the standard. We see so many clients each week who come in with work they’re unhappy with, and being able to safely remove and correct that not only gives them a fresh start and work they are happy and confident with, but it also allows me to create the natural, beautiful results they originally hoped for. To me, it’s about restoring confidence and helping elevate the industry as a whole.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Logan Lopez, and I’m the owner of Perfect 10 Beauty Bar & Academy! Houston’s top-rated permanent makeup studio and training academy. I started my business in 2016, and today we’ve grown into a thriving team of permanent makeup artists with thousands of clients and years of experience behind us. With that much hands-on experience, we’ve gained a deep understanding of what works, what doesn’t, and how to deliver results that are both natural and timeless.

At Perfect 10, we’re known for natural, customized results in brows, lip blush, eyeliner, and advanced artist training. But what truly sets us apart is that we don’t just create, we also correct. We’re one of the only studios in Houston offering specialized laser tattoo removal for permanent makeup, which is a total game-changer in the industry. Every week, we meet clients who are living with work they regret or that no longer fits their style. With laser removal, we can safely erase that canvas and start fresh, giving clients the beautiful results they originally wanted.

To me, this service represents a bigger mission. And that’s helping people feel like the best version of themselves while raising the standards of the industry as a whole. Permanent makeup is entering a new era, and we are genuinely excited to stand out as industry pioneers helping to pave the way. By combining artistry, advanced correction, and education, we’re not only transforming how clients experience permanent makeup, but also shaping the future of what this industry can be.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that has most shaped how I see myself is, without a doubt, the one I have with myself. Over the years, I’ve realized how much power there is in the way we think about ourselves, the words we use, and the beliefs we choose to hold. In the beginning, I sometimes downplayed my accomplishments or questioned or second-guess if I was really capable. But learning to shift that inner dialogue and to treat myself with compassion, encouragement, and confidence, has completely changed the way I show up. It’s allowed me to be more grounded and authentic, not only as an artist and business owner, but also in how I connect with others. At the end of the day, the relationship we build with ourselves sets the tone for everything else.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could tell my younger self one thing, it would be: you can do absolutely anything you put your mind to! Just get out of your own way. I used to overthink, doubt myself, or wait until everything felt ‘perfect’ before taking the next step. What I’ve learned is that confidence comes from action, not the other way around. Trusting myself, taking risks, and believing in my own resilience has opened doors I never imagined. I’d remind my younger self that she was more capable than she ever gave herself credit for.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
I believe in the power of intuition. It’s something you can’t measure or prove on paper, but I’ve experienced time and again how trusting that inner voice leads me in the right direction. Whether it’s in business decisions, client interactions, or even my personal life, when I listen to my intuition, things flow more smoothly and align in ways logic alone can’t explain. To me, it’s a reminder that sometimes the best guidance doesn’t come from outside sources, but from within.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m in my element – working, creating, and connecting with my clients. There’s something so calming and fulfilling about being fully present in my craft, whether it’s shaping a set of brows or guiding a client through their transformation. The creative process brings me joy, but it’s really the relationships I build and the trust my clients place in me that makes the experience so meaningful. Those moments remind me why I started and keep me deeply connected to my purpose.
