Adriana, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day usually start off by waking up, brushing my teeth prepare for a 2hr gym session and check my messages and emails!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Adriana LaRue is a Houston-based drag performer and transgender woman known for her fierce, glamorous style and strong representation of Latinx culture. A celebrated queen in the Texas drag scene, she’s won titles like Miss So You Think You Can Drag and Most Beautiful at Miss Gay Texas USofA At-Large. Blending Tejano pride with bold artistry, Adriana uses her platform to uplift the LGBTQ+ community, advocate for drag visibility, and showcase her heritage both onstage and beyond. Recently competed internationally in Mexico on a live audition for a drag reality tv show!
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
As much as I would love to say myself, I cannot discredit my ex boyfriend! He knew and saw my potential beyond anyone! He was my cheerleader from day one till the end ! He always knew who I would become before I even believed it myself, and definitely owe him his flowers ! Truly !
Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
Absolutely, being in a relationship with someone who truly loved, and cared, for me is one thing I miss most ! And I’m not afraid to admit that at this point in my life ! I love the life I live and where my life is headed but definitely do miss someone being there at the end of the day ! And I truly believe many of us feel the same way ! Especially being part of the lgbtqia+ community.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Aside from my labubu collection, My friendship’s with each one of my best closest friends ! They truly matter to me like no other !
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I am doing exactly what I was born to do, wich is entertain !! Being a transgender drag performer is what I was destined to be! 10yrs strong and wouldn’t change it for anything,
