An Inspired Chat with Heidi Aghajani of UPTOWN, GALLERIA, RIVER OAKS

We recently had the chance to connect with Heidi Aghajani and have shared our conversation below.

Heidi, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Have you stood up for someone when it cost you something?
es, I have. I stood up for one of my clients when another client sat in my waiting area and spoke negatively about her appearance…judging and gossiping. I made the difficult decision to let that client go. I knew it would cost me financially and socially because she was considered an influencer with a large following, but protecting the integrity of my business mattered more.

My spa is a safe space one of kindness, confidence, and healing. Everyone who walks through our doors comes here to feel better about themselves, not to be judged. I had to protect not only my reputation, but also the energy and trust within these walls. Respect and compassion will always come before profit.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Heidi Aghajani, and I’m the founder and lead injector of Alchemy Med Spa in Houston, Texas. I’ve been a registered nurse for nearly two decades, with over twelve years specializing in aesthetic medicine. My work goes far beyond injectables it’s about transformation, confidence, and self-love. At Alchemy, we merge science, art, and empathy to help every client feel like the most elevated version of themselves.

What makes Alchemy Med Spa truly unique is the energy within our walls it’s a judgment-free, safe space where everyone is celebrated. We don’t just enhance appearances; we restore confidence and remind people of their worth. I’ve built this brand on authenticity, integrity, and artistry. Our signature treatments, like the Mini Lip Plump and Alchemy Lip Map, have become known for their natural yet refined results that honor each client’s individuality.

Beyond aesthetics, I’m also the co-founder of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit called The Alchemist Paws Project, which rescues and rehabilitates dogs in need. My journey has always been about transformation whether it’s a person rediscovering their confidence or a rescue dog finding love again. Right now, I’m working on expanding both worlds: introducing new regenerative treatments in aesthetics and creating more opportunities for animal rescue and awareness through an annual l “Love Unleashed” gala.

At the heart of it all, my mission is simple to help people and animals feel seen, valued, and loved.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Wow! These questions have gotten so much deeper since we first did an interview and I love that.

What breaks bonds is often ego, assumptions, and silence. It’s when people stop communicating, stop giving grace, or let pride take the lead. Sometimes it’s not even the big betrayals it’s the small, repeated moments of not being seen, not being heard, or not being valued that quietly unravel connection.

What restores those bonds, though, is humility, honesty, and effort. It’s the willingness to say, “I miss you,” or “I was wrong,” or “I want to understand.” Restoration happens when we choose love over being right, when we listen without defense, and when we show up again with softness instead of walls.

In my life and my work, I’ve learned that real connection isn’t perfect … it’s repaired.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
My life has been defined by survival and transformation. My family escaped our country when I was a child, carrying nothing but faith and the hope for safety. That experience taught me resilience before I even knew what the word meant. Later, I survived a fire that left me with third-degree burns. The pain, the scars, and the long recovery could have broken me but instead, they became a part of my purpose. They taught me that beauty isn’t about perfection; it’s about strength, and the ability to rise again.

I also survived domestic violence something that stripped me down emotionally even more than the fire ever could. The physical wounds healed, but the invisible ones took time, self-love, and therapy to truly mend. And throughout all of it, there were people who doubted me who underestimated what I was capable of, what I would become, and how far I could go.

But I’ve learned that doubt is often the spark behind reinvention. Every wound, every betrayal, every hardship became part of my alchemy.. the process of turning pain into power. That’s why I named my med spa Alchemy. Because that’s what I do in every area of my life: I take what’s broken, and I transform it into something beautiful, purposeful, and healing.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes… minus the extensions and the glam. What people see publicly is truly who I am at my core: passionate, outspoken, driven, and deeply compassionate. The difference is just in the presentation. The lashes and the lipstick might come off, but the heart, the humor, and the hustle stay the same. I’ve learned that authenticity is my greatest asset, so what you see online or in my business is simply a more polished version of the same woman who’s at home in sweats surrounded by her dogs and ideas.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I did what was right even when it wasn’t easy. That I stood for what mattered, even when no one was watching. That I led with compassion, integrity, and purpose.

I want my story to be one of courage and kindness that I built things that healed people, that I gave second chances, that I turned pain into purpose. Whether it was through my work, my rescue, or my relationships, I hope they remember that I never chased perfection… I chased meaning.

That I loved deeply. Fought for others. And did what mattered.
