Good morning D’Marrea, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
I felt proud recently being able to help a client prove and develop a business concept from ground up. Ultimately they were able to retire from their 9-5 job and pursue their dreams full time.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
There are different agendas, and systemic variables at play that could easily break the bond of people or allow us to focus on indifference instead of commonalities.
I believe truth, education, empathy, faith and love can restore broken bonds.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Every day.
Being a black man in America takes a toll. The balancing act is entertaining for everyone but you.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My word and my character, because when you are gone all people will remember is how you made them feel. And word is bond.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
Myself.
We have so much access to information and yet so many have very little knowledge of self. Many ideas—like wardrobes — are not as unique anymore. Phrases and words are regurgitated. Identities are often tied to flesh, (media, vanity, status) and not spirit.
