I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My professional training has continued to grow. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work with world-renowned editorial directors, architects, and interior designers. These highly skilled and creative people have helped me to dedicate myself to the study of architecture and art history. In our work environment, it is very important to know and have the tools necessary to interpret a good project. This facilitates the work, professional training, and credibility of the work produced.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
In 33 years of editorial work in interior designer architecture, I have had the opportunity to collected more than 1,200 publications and 475 covers in the most important magazines around the world. I am among the historic interiors photographers who, in a certain way, have interested many readers in this business, making interest in interior architecture “glamorous” and “trendy.” Today’s social media is a testament to the pleasure and interest people have in designing a home, searching for objects and furnishings to make their homes welcoming and personal. Unfortunately, all of this has led to a diminished regard for the work of architects and interior designers among these people. Over the years, my message through images has always been to make people understand the importance of the work of architects and interior designers. Designing a home or designing a house without specific experience leads to mistakes and costs that become evident over time. Professionalism must always be considered and worthy of respect.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Sometimes there were risks, fortunately not serious, or at least not with significant consequences. The enthusiasm for photography sometimes involves me deeply emotionally. Climbing a makeshift ladder to get a better shot, or climbing a very high wall to photograph an exterior, were frequent situations.
