Derrell Harrion shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Derrell, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
I’m chasing a legacy. I’m changing the narrative so that everyone who comes after me lives a great life mentally, spiritually, and emotionally equipped to handle whatever life brings. If I stop, that cycle stays unbroken. And that’s not an option.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a creative director who helps businesses and entrepreneurs bring their vision to life through powerful visuals and storytelling. I work at the intersection of strategy and creativity. Turning ideas into images, content, and narratives that connect and resonate. I’m also an investor, which gives me a unique perspective on building brands with both creative impact and long-term value in mind.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A defining moment for me was when I went into business for myself and realized that life often meets you at the level of your discipline and execution. I learned that clarity and consistency matter. There was a time when I didn’t have a car, but I wrote down that I would have one and stayed focused on that goal every day. Eventually, I held the keys in my hand. That experience shaped how I see the world it taught me that vision, paired with action, turns intention into reality.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes. There were moments I wanted to give up. But I’ve learned that when that feeling shows up, it’s a signal to pause, take a breath, and remind yourself why you started in the first place. That reset is often what keeps you moving forward.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
All i know is to be a original and not a copy.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
In the industry im in, you HAVE to.
