Today we’d like to introduce you to Drako Perfecto.
Hi Drako, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Perfecto’s Ink – Founder Story
Perfecto’s Ink started from a genuine love for tattooing and self-expression. Like a lot of artists, I didn’t begin with a storefront or a big following — I began with curiosity, dedication, and the drive to constantly get better. I was drawn to tattooing because it’s permanent, personal, and meaningful. Every piece tells a story, and being trusted with that is something I’ve never taken lightly.
Early on, I focused heavily on fundamentals: clean linework, attention to detail, and understanding skin. I spent countless hours practicing, studying different styles, and learning how to translate ideas into tattoos that not only look good on day one, but heal and age well. Building Perfecto’s Ink was never about shortcuts — it was about earning trust, one tattoo at a time.
As my skills grew, so did my client base through word of mouth. People started coming back, bringing friends and family, and that’s when I realized this could be more than just a passion — it could be a brand built on consistency, respect, and quality work. Perfecto’s Ink became known for clean tattoos, fine-line precision, and creating a comfortable experience for every client, whether it’s their first tattoo or their tenth.
Today, Perfecto’s Ink represents growth, discipline, and staying true to the craft. I’m proud of how far it’s come, but I still approach every tattoo with the same mindset I had at the beginning: stay hungry, stay learning, and always put the client and the art first.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, and I think that’s true for most artists who build something from the ground up. One of the biggest challenges early on was gaining trust in an industry where reputation matters more than anything. Without a big name or backing, every tattoo had to speak for itself. One mistake could set you back, so the pressure to stay consistent was real.
There were also challenges balancing the creative side with the business side. Tattooing isn’t just about art — it’s scheduling, pricing, client communication, marketing, and learning how to run things professionally. At times, progress felt slow, especially when you’re putting in long hours behind the scenes that people don’t see.
Like many artists, I also faced moments of self-doubt and burnout. Tattooing is physically and mentally demanding, and staying motivated while constantly pushing your skill level isn’t easy. But those challenges forced me to grow, sharpen my discipline, and stay focused on why I started in the first place.
Looking back, the struggles shaped Perfecto’s Ink into what it is today. They taught me patience, accountability, and the importance of staying consistent even when results aren’t immediate. Nothing was handed to me, and I wouldn’t change that — the hard road is what made the brand strong.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
About My Work
At Perfecto’s Ink, I specialize in clean, high-quality tattoos with a strong focus on precision and longevity. My work centers mainly around fine line, black and grey, and detailed custom pieces. I put a lot of emphasis on linework, balance, and how a tattoo will heal and age over time, not just how it looks the day it’s finished.
What I’m most known for is consistency. Clients trust me to deliver clean tattoos that are intentional and well thought out, whether it’s a small, meaningful piece or a larger custom design. I take pride in creating tattoos that fit the body naturally and reflect the client’s vision while still maintaining strong artistic structure.
What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built with my clients. Many of them return for multiple pieces and refer friends and family, which means more to me than any single tattoo. Being someone people feel comfortable with — especially first-time clients — is something I value heavily.
What sets Perfecto’s Ink apart is the attention to detail and the experience. I don’t rush work, I don’t cut corners, and I treat every tattoo as a collaboration. From the consultation to the final result, my goal is to make sure the client feels heard, respected, and confident in the work they’re getting. I believe tattoos should be done right the first time, and that mindset guides everything I do.
How do you think about happiness?
What truly makes me happy is seeing the impact my work has on people. Tattooing isn’t just about putting ink in skin — it’s about marking moments, honoring memories, and helping people express who they are. Knowing that something I created will stay with someone for life is a responsibility I’m proud to carry.
I also find happiness in growth — both personally and professionally. Seeing my skills improve, my brand evolve, and Perfecto’s Ink continue to move forward reminds me that the long hours and challenges are worth it. There’s real satisfaction in knowing I built this through discipline, consistency, and passion.
Lastly, I’m happiest when I’m creating in a focused, calm environment and clients leave feeling confident, comfortable, and proud of their tattoo. That feeling never gets old. It’s a reminder of why I chose this path and why I continue to push myself every day.
