Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Nolen.
Hi Chris, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
As a toy collector I wanted to find a way to find and purchase the toys that I wanted at the best prices. As it turned out that was through buying wholesale from distributors. So, in the midst, of the pandemic I started a company and began buying and selling toys online. At the point where my house was full of inventory I knew it was time to try and open a store. Had always liked the Old Town Spring area and found a shop there to rent. I started with “new” toys. As people asked us to carry more and different items, our sales grew, and our size doubled. And the toys just keep on coming. Now we buy new toys, we buy vintage toys, we buy preowned toys, and much more. Now my sons, my wife, and I all pitch in for our family business.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Mostly smooth. Our issues have been needing limited space, and some distribution problems.

We are a small family owned toy store. We buy and sell new and vintage toys. We are known for having a wide variety of unique toys and a great staff. We strive to have something for everyone. Our shop has been described as “nostalgia overload”.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Families. Our own, for obvious reasons, and those of our customers. A large part of our customer base are families. Helping them find a nest toy for the kiddos, or to help older “Kids” connect with their inner child is where it it at.
