Meet Marina Crocker of HOUSTON

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marina Crocker.

Hi Marina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
RINAS was formed by Marina Crocker in 2021 and debuted with singles “Big Mouth” and “Diana” followed by “Y Am I This Way” in 2023. The artist’s journey began with performing in Texas venues and independent radio stations. In 2024 Marina began her education in audio engineering resulting in creating RINAS debut album EPHEMERAL in summer of 2025 and releasing it in January of 2026. The band is composed of Marina Crocker as the lead singer and bassist, Eric Marin on the drums and vocals, and Josh Crocker on the rhythm guitar and vocals. For fans of woman fronted nostalgic bands such as the Sundays, the Cranberries and Mazzy Star. RINAS is inspired by sounds of the 90’s and early 2000’s. RINAS debut album EPHEMERAL highlights honest lyrics and delicate melodies, balanced by raw instrumentation to encourage the listener to slow down and remember times passed.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Self producing our debut album Ephemeral challenged my desire to only share what I thought was “good enough” to the public.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Being resourceful with the equipment and talents that I have allows me to stretch my creativity! I am just like everyone else. I have moments in life that are high and low and I write about them.

What does success mean to you?
Having peace and being content!
