Today we’d like to introduce you to Emperatriz Gonzalez.
Emperatriz, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey into baking began during a time when I felt like I had lost a part of myself. As a mother of four, my life was centered around my children, and while that is something I deeply cherish, I realized I needed something that was just for me, something that brought me peace and allowed me to reconnect with myself.
Baking became that space! It started as a simple outlet where I could be creative and unwind, and I began sharing my cakes on social media purely for fun. At the time, I never intended for it to become a business, it was just something that made me happy. Everything changed when one of my friends reached out and trusted me to create a cake for a special occasion. From there, opportunities continued to come naturally, and what started as a personal passion slowly grew into a business without me even realizing it was happening!
Today, I’m incredibly grateful and blessed that something which once gave me peace has turned into a career. Being able to create for others and be part of their special moments is something I truly love, and it reminds me how meaningful it is to follow what brings you happiness to your heart!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Balancing motherhood and building a business comes with its challenges, between everyday responsibilities like caring for my children, managing our home, and being present for their activities, my days are often full and busy! A lot of my work happens in the quieter moments, like late nights and early mornings. It requires balance and patience, but it has also helped me grow and stay grounded in what matters most.
As you know, we’re big fans of Emperatriz Baked Goods. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At Emperatriz Baked Goods, I specialize in custom cakes and desserts designed to elevate your celebrations. Each creation is thoughtfully crafted with a strong focus on both visual detail and flavor, because I believe a cake should be just as unforgettable in taste as it is in appearance which is what sets my work apart is the level of intention and personalization behind every order. I don’t replicate designs, I take inspiration and transform it into something unique, ensuring each piece reflects the client’s vision while carrying my signature style.
I’m most proud of building a brand that has grown through trust, consistency, and genuine connection. Many of my clients return for multiple occasions, allowing me to be part of their most special moments, and that is something I value so much!
I want readers to know that Emperatriz Baked Goods offers more than just desserts, it’s an experience. From the first inquiry to the final presentation, my goal is to provide something that feels elevated, personal, and memorable!
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is my family! They are at the center of everything I do. Being a mother has shaped who I am, and it’s the reason behind the way I move, the way I work, and the way I dream. Everything I’m building is for them, but also for the version of myself I didn’t want to lose along the way. I’ve learned how important it is to hold onto the things that bring you peace and remind you of who you are. For me, that was baking, It gave me something of my own during a time when I needed it most, and now it’s become something I can share with others. What matters most is creating a life that feels meaningful, being present for my family, growing into the person I’m meant to be, and using my passion to bring a little bit of joy into other people’s lives
