Today we’d like to introduce you to Terran Lehmann.
Terran, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My daughter got married 1 year ago. After buying and renting so many items, I had this wild idea that I could have accumulated so many items on my own and the ones I actually bought, find an additional use for them! I started buying wedding decor on Marketplace which gave me a slight interest in looking into Photobooths. I ran across an opportunity to buy a vintage photo camper along with some bookings and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. I made a friend in Cypress whom I had bought some wedding items from about a year before. She was very interested in the vision as I was . The previous photo camper owner was from Cypress as well so I felt it was meant to be. We now have the photo camper, two stand alone booths, a 360 booth along with numerous accessories and wedding items to rent as well.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Once I purchased the photo camper I felt like that was the missing piece to the puzzle. We have and are still learning and making adjustments, but honestly things are falling in place very well. Tiffany Nestre is my colleague in Cypress. She and her husband Shane have been lifesavers! We have made arrangements to house the camper and many of the larger backdrops and accessory items in storage near her home, if events are near the Houston area and she is available. She makes sure everything is delivered and manned during the event. If the event is near my home area, I the care of the details. So far it has worked very well.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am completely new to the event and Photobooth industry. I own a 320 acre ranch in Ledbetter, Tx that I inherited from my parents about 4 years ago. Even though I was raised here, I’m new to this industry as well. I was never interested in farming and ranching, but being an only child, I found myself in a position to make some serious soul searching and life changing decisions. Two years ago, I started buying Highland cattle. Even though they are standard size, some have maintained a small size and are extremely cuddly and huggable. I’ve also ventured into opening my ranch into photo opportunities with the highlands. I have completed and am still working on a variety of photo op props such as a 1960’s truck, an old hay wagon, a horse trailer decorated for events and seasons, a grain bin gazebo and pier by a pond in front of my home to begin with a few. I am eventually hoping to open the area for small gatherings and parties. This plan was all in conjunction with the idea of buying rental items for parties which eventually grew into photo backdrops and eventually Photobooths! Here we are, full circle. Pretty much your one stop party and event stop but I do stress on a smaller, much more laid back comfortable scale.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I’m an only child who has 5 children. I live to talk and be around people but have extreme anxiety!
