Community Highlights: Meet Deaunza Albright of Free Game Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Deaunza Albright.

Hi Deaunza, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started as an audio engineer focused on recording and learning sound at a high level. As I worked with more artists, I realized the real issue was not just quality, it was a lack of structure and direction.

So I began helping artists not only record but actually finish songs, build projects, and create content around their music. That shift is what led me to build Free Game Productions, a Houston recording and production studio.

Over time I worked with different artists and brands and kept seeing the same need. People wanted one place where they could handle recording, visuals, and creative direction all together.

Now that is what we provide. A space in Houston where artists and brands can come in, create at a high level, and leave with content and music that is ready to be released.

We are still growing and building toward becoming one of the go to production studios in Houston and creating a real pipeline for the city.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Early on one of the biggest struggles was realizing talent alone is not enough. I was putting in the hours, getting better at engineering, but a lot of artists were not consistent or serious, so the results were inconsistent too.

Another challenge was learning the business side. Pricing, positioning, making sure people understood the value of what I offer instead of just comparing it to the cheapest option. That took time to really lock in.

I also had to figure out how to separate myself in a city like Houston where there are a lot of studios. That is what pushed me to build Free Game Productions into more than just a recording space. I focused on combining recording, content, and direction so clients actually get results.

There were moments where things slowed down, clients fell through, or opportunities did not go how I expected. But every time that happened, it forced me to tighten my process, my standards, and the way I move. Now those struggles are the reason the business is structured the way it is today. Everything is more intentional, and the people who work with us are more aligned. So it was not smooth, but it was necessary to build something real.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Free Game Productions is a Houston recording and production studio built for artists and brands that are serious about quality and growth. We specialize in recording, mixing, and content creation, but what sets us apart is we combine everything into one process. Clients do not just leave with music, they leave with content and direction to actually promote it.

We are known for creating a structured environment where every session produces real results, whether that is a single, a full project, or brand content. Our focus is helping artists and brands build, not just create.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is the customer experience.

Because at the end of the day, people remember how you made them feel just as much as what you delivered. In a studio environment, that means creating a space where clients feel comfortable, confident, and fully locked in on what they are building.

At Free Game Productions, the experience is intentional. From how sessions are run, to the quality of the sound, to the way we guide clients through the process, everything is designed to make sure they leave with clarity and results.A great experience builds trust, and that trust turns into long term relationships, repeat clients, and real growth for both the client and the business.

That is why it matters most. It is the foundation of everything we do.
