Today we’d like to introduce you to Kim Mason.
Hi Kim, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Kim Mason is the Executive Director and Founder of Women Cultivating Greatness, a nonprofit organization committed to empowering diverse learners through education, advocacy, emotional wellness, family support, and community engagement. Her work is driven by a deep personal journey of overcoming the challenges associated with dyslexia, attention deficit disorder (ADD), and short-term memory deficit.
For much of her life, Kim struggled to understand why learning seemed more difficult for her than for others. Like many individuals with undiagnosed learning differences, she faced feelings of frustration, self-doubt, and isolation. Rather than allowing those experiences to define her future, she developed practical systems and strategies that enabled her to navigate academic, professional, and personal challenges successfully.
Recognizing that many others were facing similar obstacles without access to support or resources, Kim transformed her personal experiences into a mission. She founded Women Cultivating Greatness to help individuals who learn differently recognize their strengths, build confidence, and achieve meaningful success. Through educational programs, workshops, and community partnerships, the organization creates opportunities for growth while helping reduce the stigma often associated with learning differences.
Kim is also the creator of the “Learning Differently Doesn’t Mean Learning Less” Life Skills Program, a comprehensive educational initiative designed to provide neurodiverse individuals with practical tools and strategies for success. The program focuses on helping participants develop confidence, strengthen life skills, improve self-advocacy, and access resources that support long-term personal and professional growth.
As an educational advocate, mental health advocate, and certified mental health coach, Kim is passionate about raising awareness of the connection between learning differences and emotional well-being. She frequently speaks on topics related to dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, self-esteem, resilience, and the importance of creating supportive environments where diverse learners can thrive.
Today, Kim continues to inspire audiences by sharing her story of perseverance and transformation. Her message is simple yet powerful: learning differently does not mean learning less. Through her leadership and advocacy, she is helping individuals and families move from frustration to empowerment and discover the greatness that already exists within them. Today Women Cultivating Greatness is thriving and creating new programs and activities for people who learn differently.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No it has not been a smooth road. Our organization has reinvented itself all in the desire to provide what people need in the community. WCG was an organization for women only. As of May 2026, we are serving children, young adults, students, men and women because we were approached to update our services to include all people. We are happy we did that.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

Together, we are creating a future where every learner is valued, empowered, and equipped to succeed.
What matters most to you? Why?
What keeps me up at night are people who suspect that they learn differently but have never been tested. We thrive to have people tested as soon as possible. We work with a educational doctor that specalizes in testing for all forms of learning differences.
I never use the term learning disability because I feel that God created all of us with what we needed to fulfil his purposes, so I don’t believe anyone have a learning disability.
