Exploring Life & Business with Maggie The Daughter of IBB Ranch | Nova Era Powered by Realty of America

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maggie The Daughter.

Hi Maggie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey into real estate actually started with my husband, Jose. At the time, I was working in corporate America and had climbed as high as I could within the organization. I had built a successful career in operations and leadership, but I knew there was a ceiling.

One day, Jose told me, “You should get into real estate.”

My immediate response was, “Real estate is extremely competitive.”

He looked at me and said, “Do you know who my wife is? You’re extremely competitive.”

And I remember thinking, You know what? He’s right.

That same weekend, I called Champions School of Real Estate, spoke with a counselor, gathered all the information, and enrolled.

Naturally, I called my mom to tell her what I had decided. Her response was, “Perfect. I’m going to get into real estate with you.”

I said, “Mom, no! I’m not telling you because I want you to do it with me. I’m just telling you because you’re my mom!” But if you know my mom, you know there was no stopping her.

So Maggie the Mom and Maggie the Daughter started real estate school together.

While we were taking classes, life threw in another surprise: I was pregnant with my twins—and I had absolutely no idea. Every Friday after passing another exam, Mom and I would celebrate with margaritas. Little did I know, the Investor and Broker Brothers were already along for the ride!

Once I found out I was pregnant, everything shifted.

What started as something I wanted to try suddenly became something I had to make work. I went into survival mode. There was no Plan B in my mind. I had two babies coming, a family depending on me, and something to prove to myself.

That season taught me a lesson that still drives me today: sometimes you don’t discover what you’re capable of until life gives you no choice but to become it.

I entered real estate because my husband believed I could compete. I built it alongside my mom. But I became who I am in this industry because my family gave me a reason to refuse to fail.

What started with one phone call to real estate school became a career, a family business, and eventually something much bigger than I could have imagined when I first walked into that classroom.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it has definitely not been a smooth road.

I was pregnant with twins while I was in real estate school, and they were born at just 27 weeks. They spent nearly three months in the NICU fighting for their lives. At the same time, I was building my real estate career and already carrying a growing book of business.

There were days when I was negotiating contracts, answering clients, and running my business while sitting beside my babies in the NICU. I had to learn very quickly how to keep moving even when life felt completely out of my control.

Looking back, I wouldn’t erase the hard seasons. Every challenge, every sacrifice, and every moment I thought might break me actually built me.

Those experiences gave me the discipline, resilience, empathy, and fight that I bring to my clients today. I know what it feels like when the stakes are high and giving up simply isn’t an option.

Today, I’m ranked the #9 real estate agent in the nation. I’m proud of that accomplishment, but I’m even more proud of the woman, mother, and businesswoman I had to become along the way.

It wasn’t a smooth road—and I think that’s exactly why it became such a powerful one.

As you know, we’re big fans of IBB Ranch | Nova Era Powered by Realty of America . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business has grown far beyond simply helping people buy and sell homes. At the heart of everything I do is real estate, but my brand is really built around relationships, strategy, education, entrepreneurship, and community.

I specialize in residential real estate, new construction, farm and ranch, luxury, investment properties, and helping families navigate major real estate decisions with confidence. I’m known for being hands-on, highly involved, and very strong in negotiation. I want my clients to feel like they have someone truly fighting for them, not just someone trying to get a transaction to the closing table.

What sets me apart is that I approach real estate from an operations and business-building mindset. I’m constantly thinking about systems, innovation, marketing, partnerships, and how to create a better experience for the consumer. I also believe real estate should be a gateway. It can lead to homeownership, investing, development, business ownership, generational wealth, and opportunities people may not have realized were available to them.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud that Maggie the Daughter has become something people recognize as approachable, hardworking, transparent, and deeply connected to the community. I never wanted to build a brand that felt untouchable or overly polished. I want people to feel like they know me, can trust me, can call me, and that I will show up when it matters.

Today, my world includes NOVA Era Realty Group, investment and development projects, farm and ranch, IBB Ranch, builder opportunities, mortgage partnerships, and community-focused initiatives. But no matter how much the business grows, the foundation stays the same: serve people well, create opportunities, build meaningful relationships, and leave something behind that is bigger than yourself.

What I want readers to know most is that my brand is still evolving. I’m proud of what we’ve built, but I don’t believe we are anywhere near finished.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I would want readers to know that success can look very different from where it starts. I come from humble beginnings, and so much of what I have built came from being willing to work, learn, adapt, and keep going even when the path was not clear.

I also believe deeply in using whatever success you achieve to create opportunities for other people. Whether that means helping a family become homeowners, mentoring someone in business, supporting another woman, or investing back into the community, I want what I build to have an impact beyond me.

I am still growing, still creating, and still dreaming much bigger. More than anything, I hope my story reminds someone that your beginning does not get to decide your ending.
