Meet Alicia Shanta’e of Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alicia Shanta’e.

Hi Alicia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My love for fashion started in 1998 when I was 15 years old and featured in the Austin American Statements for my academics and fashion. I started buying clothes and styling other family members in the 90’s. My first movie that I styled a lot of the actors and actresses is a feature film “Temp to Fire” that is available on Tubi to watch for free currently. I have a cameo in the film that was premiered August 20, 2015, at the historical River Oaks Theatre in Houston, TX. I started my acting career in 1996 and was featured in my first paid commercial based on Algebra. In 2020 I started my boutique where I sold different items including accessories under my company A-Z Boss Lady Boutique, where I now offer styling for kids and females. When you look good you feel good.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being a fashion stylist isn’t a smooth road, but I enjoy it and making people look great. Maintaining inventory for my boutique has been a struggle, so I had to revamp and I started styling a few kids after my son was born in 2023 which is very rewarding for me. I have offered my styling services for 2 kids selected randomly every school year. I like to dress to impress while working with an affordable budget.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am known for fashion and styling myself for Corporate America where I can also get additional clientele besides the entertainment industry. I am currently working on my music career, where I will release singles periodically. My talent, known and unknown to others sets me apart because I am unpredictable. I am most proud of being a mother, which encourages me daily. I love to dance and I started Green Hawk Enterprises in 2023 after my son was born, which involves my creative writing, dance and artistry talent. I am partnering with New Vibes Dance Studio for future performances. I still offer private 1-on-1 Business Coaching sessions as well.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
What surprises people is that I still know how to play the piano and clarinet, which will be a part of my composition for music released under Green Hawk Enterprises for music and dance.
